Neo Geo AES modifications

Just got my AES back from having component output, blue LED reset button light, and of course unibios. I highly suggest anyone with an AES to get the unibios modification done. I love that my Japanese console now plays all the games in English when I want them to but can switch back at a moments notice. The built in game genie function is great too.

No real reason for this post, I'm just happy. :rocker:

I modded my AES myself, got the unibios and S-Video mods. (I don't have a component TV) One thing that always bugged me is that the AES didn't have any indication that it was turned on. So I drilled a hole in that little square between the power switch and the controller port, and I moved that red LED on that back of the board (Why did they put a LED inside the console where you can't see it?) to the hole. Now I have a simple red power light, just like a 90s game console should.

I agree that I never understood why they didn't put a light on it to indicate when it's on.

This isn't mine but this is exactly how mine looks with the new LED installed.
