Yeah, I'm aware of it. IIRC retronauts talked about it way back in like 2007. It's like Misadventures of Tron but even more obscure, earlier and worse. My advice would simply be to track down the Misadventures of Tron Bonne, or more appropriately, simply emulate it due to how crazy expensive that game is on the secondary market.

I'm sorta surprised how expensive it is. When (my local) GameStop still carried PS1 games, I saw copies of it every other time I went in.

Yes, I have a copy. It's a 3D action-adventure game with a platformer feel, but not a ton of actual platform hopping. It's a decent game, but it's one that got a lot more popular after the fact due to its ties to Solatorobo on DS, kinda like how nobody gave a crap about Koudelka until its Shadow Hearts ties became better known.

Well yeah, but there were also plenty of stories of people seeing EarthBound for $15 and ignoring it in 1997. I think that's the whole reason games like that are so pricy - because nobody bought them.
Also, didn't Tron Bonne come out the same day as the PS2? I think that's why it's so friggin rare now.

Oh right, I'm thinking of Megaman Legends 2 itself.

Pokemon Gold/Silver came out the same week. I only remember that cause the SoftWare Etc. I reserved my copy at knew someone at the warehouse and I got their PS2s early. There was one guy who had prepurchased $900 worth of PS2 crap.

Emulators have compatibility problems with Tron Bonne. ePSXe plays it almost perfectly, but you will get sound issues (verified) and you may crash during some cutscenes. pSX can't load anything past the first mission.

Familiar with it? I've been downright obsessed it since it came out, haha. It's a 3D platformer, and it's an immensely charming game. Art by Nobuteru Yuuki (Escaflowne, Chrono Cross, Seiken Densetsu 3, etc). It's super short, shouldn't take you more than 5-6 hours to do everything (less if you don't care about filling out the photo album), but that just makes it very replayable to me. It was a cheap game for many, many years, but the follow-up Solatorobo on DS (it's not a sequel per se, but it is in the same series, Little Tail Bronx, and takes place in a different region of the same world and even features plenty of cameos from the Tail Concerto cast) apparently made the price climb a lot unfortunately.
