Please forgive me if this is the wrong forum. So as part of wasting my tax return I am diving into getting an XRGB3(or possibly mini) as well as modding my systems to be up to date to output RGB. Im looking at getting RGB mods for NES, N64 and Turbo Duo(also cap replacement). Possibly would like a RGB mod on 3DO, GBA and Game Gear. I've been having troubles finding people to do these things, so I am hoping someone here does or has someone good to reference. Thanks everyone!

He seems to be a good guy. I have been watching his youtube videos for a while now. He is also helping Kevtris get the HDMI mod going for the NES which looks very promising and will be what I do to mine when they are released. Anyways that is the only person I can think of. I hope that helps!

3DO rgb mod is going to likely cost a pretty penny...

Unfortunately, this guy doesnt seem to do RGB work on most of the stuff I want. In addition to that he is not doing any mods to help work on this HDMI project. With that said, will HDMI really make a difference over RGB? Its still outputting in 240p and I dont know if HDMI will make a major difference over an upscaler compared to SCART. Though you can take your HDMI NES anywhere and arent gaming anywhere without your SCART upscaler outside of Europe.

Ive seen the mod kit for about $75. Again that system is on my maybe list since most of the library has definitive versions on PC.

Seems to be better than most scalers I have messed with. Plus as you said I don't have to lug all my scalers and cables to move a system to another TV. I don't really know of other modders. I just do my own if I have the itch to do it. I don't see how a HDMI mod is any worse than just running it through a scaler. They are both doing the same thing for the most part one just requires less stuff laying around.

This is cool, I guess I will wait on the verdict on how good these built in scalers(Im assuming this wont only be for NES) are. Not sure how they can stack up to a standalone, but I definitely am going wait this one out. Thanks for the heads up.

edit:I saw the most recent video on this and he says some games get graphics glitches, and hes not sure he fix it. Still this tech is looking promising.

I posted another thread of someone who is working on the Dreamcast and according to him he will be making his board a little more universal. So they will have more systems working off of just that board so I am hoping it will be the "one" that can convert a bunch of my systems. Also I think Kevtris was really busy these last few months and that is the only downfall for these projects. It is usually one person working in their free time. I am hopeful though. It would just be convenient to not have tons of crap laying around. haha

I was researching this more and the board itself is costing in the area of $150. That is very, very pricey. A lot of systems already output RGB(over SCART) natively and most systems can be RBG modded(by a 3rd party) for less than $100 so cost comes into play on this as well even if an XRGB is $300. It wouldn't be bad if I could solder, but the last few projects I have worked on I removed the leads from the board and I dont want to junk a DUO. I might still stick with RGB+XRGB cause it could save me over $1000 in board cost alone.
