SNES cart not working....please help!

Hi!

I wondered if you can direct me with a few tips with a problem I have at the moment.

I got a Demon's Crest on SNES, trouble is, it does not work... Here is what I can say so far :

-my console is fine, working and clean (and works fine with all my other games)
-cart has been cleaned and all contacts looks perfect
-there is no sign of damage or corrosion on the cart

Although!
-it seems one of the previous owner tried to change the internal battery (holding with scotch tape)

I know that normally even without a battery, the game should still work (but not save)

Am i overlooking something, what more can I check to figure if it can be salvaged?

The only critical part you need to be intact to salvage that cart is the mask rom.

If you don't have the equipment to dump and verify it, I can do provide the service.
And if the mask rom verifies good I can repair the game.

Actually Hi hope to be able to restore it (not salvage it). I would really want to fix this cart if there is hope...

Maybe we he have a slight language barrier here, or my wording is off. The game can be restored if the vital part is still good, the mask rom. All the other parts can easily be obtained to get the game fully functioning.
