I've been subscribed to their newsletter for a while now. Seems like it is really going somewhere! Here are the goals of this new pinball concept:

Dynamic and Interactive Artwork
No more boring painted piece of wood with static insert lamps.

The artwork on the P3's lower playfield is dynamic and can even interact with the physical ball! The game knows exactly where the ball is at all times and can react accordingly.

Modular Upper Playfields
The upper playfield with the physical shot layout is a module. Different games will use different modules, each providing a unique shot layout and theme-specific features and artwork.

The machine will automatically identify the installed module and configure software accordingly.

Swapping modules is literally a 30-second job and doesn't require any tools!

Unrivaled Serviceability
The P3 is designed to be easy to service. All major mechanical assemblies simply slide out of the machine.

Selectable Cabinet Styles
Customize the look of your P3:
Cabinet: Various wood grains or screened artwork
Head: Full backbox or low-profile speakerbox
Legs: Traditional or furniture style

Here's a video explaining one of their optional features, save states:

Wanna play it in person? Here's some future appearances from the company's newsletter:

Location Testing - This weekend (Sat 4/25 - Sun 4/26), the P3 will go on location for the first time! Jesse @ Buffalo Billiards in Austin (http://buffalobilliardsaustin.com/) has supported our efforts since day 1 and is allowing us to location test the P3 there this weekend. Up until now, the P3 has only been to pinball and gaming events; so we're eager to see how the general public reacts to the machine. Note - this weekend's showing at Buffalo Billiards replaces our monthly open house event in April. If you'll be in Austin, please make plans to come by. Buffalo Billiards is a great place for drinks and games (pinball, pool, shuffleboard, foosball, and darts), and it hosts various pinball tournaments and league events.

Upcoming Shows - As of right now, our next show will be the Southern-Fried Gameroom Expo in Atlanta in June (http://www.southernfriedgameroomexpo.com/), but we're still building our show schedule. We hope to get the P3 to many more shows this year.

...I'd buy one if I had the money.

The revolutionary P3 Pinball Platform is now officially shipping!

Multimorphic entered the pinball industry in 2009 with the P-ROC board, a product that gives everybody the opportunity to turn their pinball ideas into playable games. Now Multimorphic is officially delivering their own pinball ideas in the form of the P3.

As the world's first multi-game physical pinball platform, the P3 combines modern technology, modularity, and gameplay innovations in a machine that can be the cornerstone of any gameroom. Its first game, Lexy Lightspeed - Escape From Earth, delivers a mostly traditional pinball experience plus a few innovative surprises. Additional games, such as Cannon Lagoon, ROCs, Barnyard, and Lexy Lightspeed - Secret Agent Showdown round out current offerings and show off the versatility of the platform.

The P3 offers something everybody in your family can enjoy, and it will only get better. Multimorphic and 3rd party design studios are actively developing new titles for the platform. Wizard, Grand Slam Rally, the network-multiplayer game Heads Up!, and the much anticipated Cosmic Cart Racing are all coming soon, and the game library will continue growing after that.

Pinball has evolved. The P3 is here!

To celebrate this milestone, we're hosting an open house at our production facility in Austin, TX from 11am to 2pm this Saturday, August 5th. We'll have food, P3s, and tours of the factory floor. Email us for more information and to RSVP.

Address:
UStx Contract Services, Inc.
14141 US HWY 290 West
Suite 100
Austin, TX 78737

The first two production runs are sold out. To reserve your P3, email us at info@multimorphic.com. New machines are expected to become available by late 2017 / early 2018.
