Nintendo DS Animal Crossing Alternatives?

I'm looking for something with similar gameplay to Animal Crossing, but that gives you more to do than Wild World, which seems kind of sparse. I've tried Harvest Moon: A Tale Of Two Towns and that would be perfect except that the 20-minute per in-game-day time limit is way too short. The Sims 2 is kind of cool and I like that it plays out in real time, but I just can't get the hang of the socialization minigame. I liked Magician's Quest, but just like Wild World it gets boring once you've pretty much seen everything the game has to offer, which doesn't take long. Does anyone have any suggestions for something I missed?

Take a look at the Lost in Blue series. The're the successor to Survival Kids. Similar open-ended play, but there are endings you can achieve, though it can get old in the beginning until you get good tools. Also, though not on DS, play Chulip on PS2. Just... just do it. If you like Animal Crossing but want something a little more fulfilling, it's probably right up your alley.

-Magician’s Quest isn't bad, from what little I've played. It's pretty much a straight Wild World clone, but with all humans and magic themed items.
-Fantasy Life might be up your ally, although it's 3DS. Pretty much a no strings attached pick a thing and do the thing type of game.
-Any of the Rune Factory games. Less emphasis on the Harvest Moon aspect, more on the action-RPG adventure.

I'll put those on my 3DS pickup list for when I finally have one. I never even heard of the Disney one, but I love Disney stuff so I'll definitely check it out. Thanks.

I never dug to see if it was android too, but on ios there's Castaway Paradise, somehow amazingly not shut down by NOA, it's a total ripoff of Animal Crossing.

I'll second Fantasy Life. While enemy AI and combat is lacking, poor storyline they seem to think is on a Kojima level with hours and hours of dialogue forced down your throat at every opportunity, the game does have a lot of content. You can craft/create hundreds of pieces of weapons, armor, clothing, furniture, food, items, etc. Much of the stuff can be purchased and then crafted that way, once you get to a certain point in the game, you're required to get rare items to create master level stuf, and there's even levels beyond master. Despite the game being rereleased in Japan long before the US release with additional content, Nintendo felt the need to sell us the extra areas as day one DLC.
