I just found this odd thing looking for a part for one of my psx's

I'm kinda tempted to see how well it works, for 10 bucks....

I like how the label is crooked and the cart slot is not even close to being square with the case.

Thanks! I didn't know this existed. Now I can play Gameboy games on yet another system. Gameboy can now be played on the GBC, GBA, NES, SNES, Playstation, N64, and Gamecube.

BE AFRAID.
If that's what I think it is, you can only visually play your GB Games. There is no audio emulation; all that happens is the most ANNOYING GODDAMN 5 MIDI NOTES ON EARTH play at ear piercing decibel levels. $10 buy in is good for the curiosity, but you'll never use it past the first hour.

I thought that's what the N64 thing did that came out. I remember there was one for the 64 that either went into the cart or the controller slot.
And here it is, the GB Hunter. You stack a N64 cart in the back, GB/SGC, or GBC hybrid cart in the top, and it works...with awful midi beeps. It's basically the ghetto clone of the Super Gameboy doing the colors and borders, just the terrible audio.

No sound?! Grrrr... It's just like that GB Hunter thing. For some reason it appears like it's really hard to replicate the hardware or emulate the Gameboy audio. I believe the NES Gameboy adapter from retrousb requires a separate audio output in order to play the audio.

Don't forget Gameboy Pocket or Gameboy Micro!

You mean this?

It only worked with a few games in conjunction with even fewer games.

No I couldnt' remember if it went into the cart slot or the controller, it was the cart, and I linked it in that other post -- GB Hunter. A complete turd of a device that has some annoying MIDI beep playing as 'music' since it doesn't emulate it.

Bad subject line is bad.
There are also variants of the Gold Finger that include the same hardware.

It only worked with a few games in conjunction with even fewer games. It's kind of neat that Pokemon Stadium let you play your actual Pokemon R/B/Y cart at double or triple speed. A timesaver, that.
Don't forget Gameboy Pocket or Gameboy Micro! The Game Boy Micro plays only GBA games, much like the DS and DS Lite. It does not play B&W GB games or GBC games, at least not without a flash cart and a suitable emulator (i.e. Goomba).
