Have you ever read this 2012 story about ex-Olympic champ Daley Thompson being blamed for worn-out joysticks (and keyboards) resulting from the frantic pacing required to keep him up to speed in games like 1984's Daley Thompson's Decathlon and 1985's Daley Thompson's Supertest? Not long after this story was published, a version of the game was published for iPod and similar mobile devices.

I'll bet joystick sales in Britain rose as a result.
