I stopped at the Game Over store in Arlington, TX and picked up Kung-Fu Master for the Atari 7800 for $14.99 loose, and a weird Suncom Atari compatible joystick with a different label design that I've never seen before for $4.99.

well i have kind of gone nuts here lately...purchased a ps4 back in april and now have 11 games for it including most recent pickups batman and Resident evil revelations 2....just bought a Wii U 2 weeks ago and got bayonetta 2, zombi U, super mario bros U/Luigi Bros U combo, Smash Bros Wii U, and mario kart 8...the system was the deluxe version that had mario 3d and nintendo land pre installed.....

picked up dark souls 2 (ps3) and prince of persia hd trilogy for ps3....

also just ordered meramusa demons blade for the wii 10 seconds ago....

now prices....omg....i'm not gonna go there....the game prices weren't that bad....but i spent quite a bit on the systems considering they were brand new from gamestop

as far as retro pickups.....not so much here lately.....couple months ago i snagged 8 ps2 games and 2 gamecube games from a local pawn shop for $2 each...including a few highlights....haunting ground (ps2) and RE 2 and RE 3 for the gamecube

I did just pick up a Kinect sensor for the 360 at a local pawn shop as well last weekend for $15 along with 2 ps3 controllers for total of $30...unfortunately only one works properly

I went to a thrift and bought a bunch of cartridges without labels - two Games By Apollo and four Parker Bros. carts, 5 of which were for the Atari 2600 and one Parker Bros. cart that was for the Colecovision. $1.91 each. I didn't bother taking a picture because unlabeled carts aren't exactly exciting to look at.

I found a new copy of Skylanders Swap Force for PS4 at a local Gamestop for $10. They are also running a sale on their loose figures where if you buy 3 or more they're 50% off with a lot of them being $3-5 a figure before discount. What's nice is Skylanders seems like the perfect gateway game for the Godchild and her siblings. :)

I found a pretty minty Death Duel on Genesis at the Flea Market for $10 over the weekend. The only blemish on it is it's missing the hang tag on the clamshell but other than that it's in perfect shape.

I found a fat PS2 for $5 loose.

brought it home, powers on fine, not strange noises but it wont read discs, in fact it doesnt even sound like its trying to spin them.
fat PS2 #6 with a bad drive, that's 6 in a row, they had to use such a stange way to "align" the laser to the disc and it gets out of wack so easily.

one other thing I have noticed, this is one of only 2 SCPH 39001 I have picked up and they both have some strange diagonal line interference on the video, very faint but noticeable on bright screens. must be a 39001 problem. come to think of it it seems like it could be noise from the cooling fan. i'll unhook it and see if it changes

Kind of weird as that model is supposed to be the most reliable of all PS2 versions. I recently found one last month and it was working fine, though I didn't test it with PS1 games yet.

Stopped at a GameXchange and bought a Japanese import of Daytona USA 2001 for the Dreamcast for $5.95. They had a couple of other nice things, like a factory sealed/shrinkwrapped copy of Pitstop for the Colecovision for $14.95, but I already have the game loose and frankly didn't really like it much. So I couldn't justify picking it up.

Yea tell me about it. I had stock piled a bunch of fats because i like them much better than the slims. All of them won't read discs. The bunch i sold before this had no problems.

I'll get them working one way or another

I was more specifically talking about the SCPH 39001 which is one of several models of fat PS2s, it's supposedly the most reliable version of all PS2s. Later versions added more features(mostly related to DVD playback) but became less reliable in the process. I'm getting picky with my consoles now as I just want them to be reliable, I've sold off or given away any broken PS2s I had.

HOLY FREAKING CRAP!!!

SATURN JACKPOT! AT GOODWILL! HAD TO ROB PETER TO PAY PAUL!

i'll explain

I went into good will just as they were putting out about 30 some odd Saturn games, see some I want, I start running prices. holy crap a lot of these are rare

1st pickup, and I'll explain why I say first in a few here, I get.

Enemy Zero $10
Marvel Super Hereos $10
Virtual ON $4
Panzer Dragoon $4

Mr Bones $10
Pandemonium $4
Space Hulk $4
Clockwork Knight 2 $4

all of these are complete except for Virtual ON
total was roughly $50 (fourty nine something and change)
I see some other games I REALLY want so I make the decision to

keep these:
http://webpages.charter.net/niku_sama/Finds/SS%201st%207-28-15.jpg

and sell these to a local game shop that's just starting up and hes a pretty cool guy

http://webpages.charter.net/niku_sama/Finds/ss%20trade%201st.jpg

I got $60 cash for these 4 games, I'm sure ALOT of you are wondering why the hell I sold mr bones and clock work knight 2 as they are VERY hard to find, well...
#1 I wont ever play them, they aren't my thing
#2 they paid for the whole lot I paid for initially infact I came out $10 ahead and
#3....just you wait and see

so I take my newly acquired $60 and head BACK to good will in hopes no one saw what I was looking at and swooped in behind me

2nd haul

Iron storm $10
D $10
Fighting Vipers $4
SEE SPOILER BELOW $40! (at good will even holy shit!)

Tempest 2000 $4
Area 51 $4
Rampage World Tour $4

so after going back to good will I spend the $60 on these plus another $16 in the card
http://webpages.charter.net/niku_sama/Finds/SS%202nd%207-28-15.jpg

AND!

SPOILER LINK BECAUSE I COULDNT FIGURE OUT THE SPOILET CODE FOR THIS FORUM!!! (http://webpages.charter.net/niku_sama/Finds/Albert.jpg)

I felt that was a good trade off

I then took these (the second half of that second haul) and traded them in for $26
http://webpages.charter.net/niku_sama/Finds/ss%20trade%202nd.jpg

so basically paid $40 for the 8 games I kept and the notable ones were the spoiler game, D, Marvel Super Hereos, Enemey Zero, and Panzer Dragoon

Nice Saturn find!
Mr. Bones is a game that pisses me off. It could have been soo good but the gameplay is sooo very bad.
Its actually more common that some people think.

Niku-sama, that is a crazy good pull. Congrats! Enemy Zero is probably my favorite Saturn game. It's technically a mess, but I love it to pieces.

Marvel Super Heroes is the best one in the lot.

That game does rule, especially with the RAM cart upgrade. The spoiler game is no slouch, either, even with its load times.

I dont think Marvel uses the ram cart, does it?
I know its used for Marvel vs Street Fighter and X-Men vs Streetfighter.. but not sure about marvel.
That working designs game is great also.

Yep, the US Marvel Super Heroes supports the RAM upgrade. If a 3MB or Action Replay 4 in 1 cart is inserted, you can access it as an extra option at the bottom of the options menu. It looks really great.

Is it just me or does D suck?
I might trade that one in. I remember seeking panzer dragoon 2 there. I didn't grab it because i was thinking it was something else. I don't know my Saturn stuff.

Is marvel super heroes with the ram upgrade the same as the PlayStation version? Or is it still different?

Go back and get Panzer 2 if you can. Its better than D.
Marvel Super Heroes on Saturn is probably about the same as the PlayStation version. However the X-Men vs Streetfighter and Marvel vs Streetfighter games on Saturn are superior to the PlayStation versions.

The Playstation and Saturn versions of Marvel Super Heroes are basically the same game. The RAM upgrade makes the Saturn version pretty near arcade perfect, but at a glance they look very similar. You have to be pretty into fighters to notice the differences, but they're there, it's just a matter of it's relevant to you or not. Saturn fighters that use the upgrade carts tend to be the best versions on console.

I went back and got panzer dragoon 2 and a few others nothing notable though a Sega racing game that wasn't Daytona usa and Warcraft 2 loose.

I traded in D and fighting vipers and he gave me 11 for those, was saying something about how the D case was swapped but i remember seeing them all like that in the car that doesn't close quite right think he was just being picky.

Also was only going to give me 20 for a Saturn system because they come easily. I thought that was an odd thing to say when you don't have one in a game shop.

I'm probably going to sell the system and the first panzer dragoon for 65 to a friend of mine. That combined would be less than i could find a lose system with hookups and controller and another complete copy of the game. Probably toss in that 3d controller to

Last Saturday of July, near Rogers Ohio in a store going east on the same road as the Rogers flea market:

Sears Tele-Games (Atari 2600) System with Two Joystick Controllers, Cables, "Game Center", Five Games: Adventure, Frogger, Pitfall (which is finicky and often stops working mid-play,) Space Invaders and Video Pinball.

$25.
