Genesis homebrew fighting game using Master System characters, backgrounds and music! Tried it on my Everdrive MD and Mega Everdrive, works nice. Really a neat concept, try it out!

LOL! That's the dumbest thing ever! This is the sort of shit that SEGA should have released proportionally on SEGA cards back in the day.

The idea is nice but the execution thus far has too much flicker for my liking.

I mean, it's a cool concept, but it's trying to be like smash bros which is it's first mistake. I suppose if you like Smash Bros. this seems cool, but I hate Smash and anything that tries to be like it is kinda automatically bad.

That looks AWESOME. It looks like the AI needs a lot of work though, I'd be more curious to see how it plays head to head with two real people.
A long time ago I tried imagining what Smash Bros on the NES would have been like. This is literally that idea realized.

Don't really get why they didn't make it for the master system... that flicker is really brutal and the AI seems pretty bad it's a cool concept but it looks more or less like a single screen beat em up rather than an actual fighting game because the overly simple stages and attacks don't really add any strategy. Plus since Sonic can just roll and jump at you he's pretty much unstoppable, having him in as an unlockable boss would make more since than having him in from the star. Overall that weird "Kart Fighter" game pulls this concept off a lot better.
For an "8 bit" smash brothers type game having something like this with character specific attacks and stages would be pretty great and I'm not even a fan of the smash brothers games.
