did Nintendo ever release any logo plates to go on top of the Gamecube?
like the one on top of the Pokémon XD edition game cube but sold separately to customize your system a bit

I was just cleaning a bunch of boll weevils out of one and it got me thinking

A couple of magazines in the UK (CUBE magazine, most notably) would give out paper inserts that you could punch out (pun not intended) and swap for the regular one. Don't they ever did actual plastic ones, though.

I know they sold official replacements, exactly like the ones in the standard models, in case somebody damaged theirs and wanted a nice new one, but I don't know if alternate versions were ever sold outside of special editions of the system.

What special editions got one? Mine that I bought new that was bundled with Zelda Collector's Edition matches my original GCN from a couple of years earlier.

From what i was able to gather Pokemon XD was the only one that came with a special one state side.

There's a few More in Japan

I'm fairly sure a Metroid Prime one was given away or available in Europe, have to go check, I think I have it somewhere.

Yes that would be cool to see.

I'm surprised that there wasn't some thing through club Nintendo

I think the MP one may have been included as part of an MP Cube bundle, and available on the Europe Nintendo store. As said, I need to check to find it, as I think I have it...
