Combine Shipping on Ebay

Anyone has issues with combine shipping on Ebay, i remember last year being able to do combine shipping on items i won on auctions, but when it comes to regular BIN prices, no matter what, ebay does not offer me the option, i had problems with some sellers that told me they will sent me invoice, but never got those, neither at ebay or paypal, half of the time.

is it because Ebay change it's system?

Or combine shipping is only done for auctions?

Over a week ago I combined aBIN with a normal timed auction 2 days later and got ombined shipping through yamatoku classic on a pair of JP gameboy games.

i got issues with one user who tells me, To combine shipping, buy it but dont pay? how is that possible!? if i buy i had to pay, and paypal already takes my money!, here's what he told me

"Hello, no problem for that but you need to buy it to stop the sale. Buy it and we will send you the right invoice to pay."

This honestly feels like communication barrier (after all i only used ebay to buy from japanese sellers) or bad translation. my only choice, is to bite the bullet, BUY all items separate, including their shipping fees, and calculate if i can get a partial refund of the shipping of 3 items, (i bought 5, one with EMS shipping already, and the 2nd can be used for paid the fee of combine shipping, while getting refunded the shipping for all remaining items).

I am not even sure if japanese sellers know about combine shipping not working like they think they do, i mean, from what Tanooki says, seems that THE ONLY WAY to get combine shipping for an BIN item is IF you had won an auction earlier...........

You can't combine shipping if you use the Global Shipping Program (GSP), every auction has to be processed separately.

I refuse to use it and ebay harasses me over it as I post my stuff. They force it to default on even when you try and save it to be disabled. I hope them splitting from paypal hurts them dearly to the point they need to start being consumer friendly again.

Ebay harassed me about paying them for a week so I just marked them as payment sent.

Today I think is the day, or it was last Monday, but I think it was today. They're two independent companies now with their own stock listing on the NYSE and all that. PP could tell ebay to f'off this morning and force them to pull their branding and usage from the site if they wanted to within contractual agreements that exist (but you know they won't as it's a huge revenue stream.)

That was annoying as hell when it did that every morning. I got fed up and found this weird link to his www site and it allowed for manual entry of the auction #'s, my paypal info, prices quoted on the individual ebay invoices and it combined and gave me the total + email(for PP) to use and it was set. Lazy dude took like 3 days to mark it as feedback received, but never did shipped icon, but emailed me it went out days earlier. He's got quirks on how that business works that's for certain but his prices are good and for Japan the shipping is low too so I'm not complaining. If he does well by me I'll look into more GB stuff later.

I'm not sure how the split is going to effect ebay down the road. But anything that improves ebay's customer service would be a welcome change.

Ideally, they give sellers equal power back on the site in how they're treated internally and also with feedback too. The whole we can walk all over you and you deal with it since there's no one else as big of us needs to stop.
