GOG now has Shadow of the Comet and Prisoner of Ice

For those who don't know, Shadow of the Comet and Prisoner of Ice were the first two computer games licensed from the Call of Cthulhu RPG. Which, yes, makes them ancestors to Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth (which GOG doesn't have yet, but maybe soon... in the meantime the PC version is actually dirt cheap on ebay. I got it for ten bucks, but not a comp that can run it).

Its funny because I've been into Lovecraft lately, so this is perfectly timed.

Interesting, I'd just recektly become aware of Prisoner of Ice on Saturncand Playstation.
One of those situations where I thought I knew about all the cool games, and then an unknown (to me) one surfaces, and here it is again. Go figure.

I had a demo from a magazine coverdisk for Call of Cthulhu back in the day, featuring the puzzle with the statues. The solution was of course so completely inscrutable that I would only finish that demo many, many years later when FAQs became available.

As far as I know, there's no combat.

Though I've heard the RPG itself has very minimal combat, because in the words of Spoony: "If you're ever in combat in Call of Cthulhu, YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG."

I actually own Dark Corners of the Earth but don't have a PC (except maybe my laptop) that can run it.
