So we all know that Konami has been acting a little strange this year but they are now offering a survey (http://www.denofgeek.us/games/248593/konami-survey-hints-at-a-possible-return-of-classic-games) asking fans which of their classic franchises we'd be interested in them reviving. There are only 14 games listed in the survey. The weird part of the survey is where it ask you which platform you would like to see the games revived on. You are giving the following choices: Cross Platform(Desktop and Mobile), Desktop/PC only, Mobile only(defined as Smartphone and Tablet) and Console only. There's no mention of handheld versions, not even in the mobile category. The complete list of games are:

-Castlevania
-Contra
-Bomberman
-Parodius
-Zone Of The Enders
-Vandal Hearts
-Suikoden
-Mystical Ninja/Goemon
-Yu-Gi-Oh
-Rocket Knight/Sparkster
-Sunset Riders
-Gradius/Nemesis
-Bishi Bashi Special
-New International Track And Field

From that list I'd like to see console and handheld/3DS versions of Castlevania, Contra and Sunset Riders. But a game not on that list that I'd like a new version of would be Lifeforce/Salamander. Of course there's no guarantees and they might just make a bunch of smartphone versions of the above games. Which games would you guys like to see Konami revive, both on this list and stuff they didn't mention.

If I knew it would be good and true to the spririt of the franchise... Contra, Castlevania, and Sunset Riders. Do I believe Konami has the chops to deliver anymore? Oh, hell no. They have sucked aggressively for a long time.

-Rocket Knight/Sparkster
-Mystical Ninja/Goemon
-Castlevania

These are my choices. Would love to see another Sparkster adventure.

Sad that you need to make a survey wondering what you're fans want. The backlash must be slamming the PR department. I guess they're not even touching Silent Hill anymore. They aren't to be trusted. Just a move to distract you of their fall from grace.

What you said. Konami is dead in my mind at this point.

I'd concerned if they'd do anything worthwhile with their franchise or just try to milk it.
Remember when Capcom announced Breath of Fire 6, only to announce it as a mobile game? (I didn't even bother paying attention past that point, so I don't know what it was. Wouldn't be surprised if it was F2P or in-app purchases. They were responsible for that Smurfs game that got attention for excessive IAP that supposedly let kids spend hundreds of real dollars in minutes.)

Yup Konami is basically dead.

I filled it out though, put the super popular, but also the stuff they've treated like crap or thrown into the toilet over time that stood out as great -- Sunset Riders, Goemon and Parodius (oddly no twinbee eh?)

Konami can burn the building down, as far as I'm concerned. They've been dead to me for quite some time.

Metal Gear V will be the last Konami game I buy. Kojima was the last one of the old school developers they had left as far as I know. I also feel it will be the last great game they will put out for a very long time. It is a real shame I used to say nothing but good things about them and after the whole P.T. fiasco I just don't feel they know what they are doing on the console side of things. They are too distracted with gambling machines. Which is fine if they could some how have separate divisions setup for them.
