Dig Dug question

Does it ever end or does it just keep getting harder untill you cant possibly complete the next level? I am talking about the Namco Museum port.

Im not positive but im pretty sure it never ends. I can't beat it and have never seen anyone. So I doubt it ends.

Namco Museum port? That's emulated right? If so, then I don't think it ever ends.. it just gets harder to a point until you die (or play forever, etc.) I'm not THAT intimately familiar with the game so there may be a point where it crashes like Pacman and Donkey Kong or when bugs start to appear (like Defender).. but I don't really know. I HAVE seen some crazy Dig Dug Players like this one 9 year old kid (who's probably 29 now or something :P) who could play the game like it was candy.. it was some amazing stuff. He hogged the machine for hours LOL

Anyway, if you're interested in some advanced strategy here's some patterns you can use to round 35 and beyond. Give 'em a shot ;)

I believe the game either rolls or crashes around board 256. Consider this just hearsay, though.

Yes, it goes on 'forever' or until it crashes, in other words there is no ending to the game. It's been many years so I'm not entirely trusting my memory, but I think it settles into a pattern of the same 4 levels after a while. Mastering those levels, you can well nigh play forever, nabbing pineapples for big points. Me, I always mess up though.

Cafeman, happy he has gotten another chance to use the phrase "well nigh".
