Yeah... so I've been searching continuously for this info.

Basically, I'm going to Japan in a month or so, and was planning to pick up a PokeFami DX. However, I've found that the charger would take only 100-110V input, much lower than my country's voltage, which is 240V.

I wanna ask if there is any alternative ac adapter that can be used without the need of a transformer.

If there isn't, is there any alternative famiclones or consoles I should go for?

Also, as much as I would like to procure a Retro Duo Portable, I'm not sure of my chances of finding one in Akiba, and ordering one from amazon or any other online merchant ain't gonna help considering that none of the online retailers are willing to ship out of the US, and even if I used forwarders, I have no idea what to expect for forwarding prices. (I live in the Little Red Dot in SEA ;w;)

Just look for a 240v AC adapter that has the same output specs and DC barrel size as the Pokefami DX adapter. Look through your junk drawer, or your local electronics/thrift stores etc.

That's kind of the issue: I have no idea what the adapter specs is.

All I could find are the input voltage, which I most probably do not need, and that the end plug that plugs into the Pokefami DX is similar to that of the PSP, but instead of center plus it is center minus. ;w;

If this is the one your looking for it is 9V 750mA center positive.

AC adapter at 3:31.

Finally, a use for unboxing videos.

Ayy lmao.

Welp, that narrows it down by quite a huge amount! Thanks!

Now, any idea how to describe the psp jack? Also, does that count as a center positive or a center negative?

All this terminology is giving me a headache... >.<

Center negative is less common. Right off the top of my head, I can't name any newly-made device in the last 15 years.
Super Famicom Jr released in 1998 but it simply maintained support for 1983's Famicom brick.

This is confusing... (;= w=)

Also, center positive you say?
Hmmm... odd, but will keep that in mind.

Oooooh, here's hoping that I even find it when I go to Akiba.... ;w;

Mega Drive 2 adapter is close at 10v 850ma. No idea how much this cares about a 1v difference.

The polarity symbol has a line touching the center.

Oh, I wanted to ask another question.

If anyone here owns a Pokefami dx and still has the original ac adapter, could you tell me the diameter of the plug?
It'll help me to pinpoint whether to look for an adapter with 5.1mm x 2.1/5mm or one with 4.0mm x 1.7mm.
