I got out my 3D glasses to test out the setup another user here was having trouble with (power base converter on a Genesis 1), and ended up spending a good deal of time playing Maze Hunter 3D. I'd forgotten how great that effect comes across in that game! I also have Missile Defense 3D, which is okay, but it's not my favorite gun game to play.
Anybody have any recent impressions on some of the other gamew like Space Harrier 3D, Zaxxon 3D, Poseidon Wars, Blade Eagle, etc.? None of them are all that expensive, so I wouldn't mind grabbing up some more of them to check out, as I'd forgotten how great that works for being such old technology.

I finally bought some 3D glasses a few years back but haven't ever busted out the ol' SMS to try them out. Mainly because of the complaints from people that the glasses are too small for an adult's head, plus the fact that I wear prescription glasses already makes it even more difficult to use. I've heard that I can use several different brands of shutter-style 3D glasses that use the same plug as the Sega ones, I've just never come across those in the wild. I believe they also work with the Pioneer Laseractive as well, although I don't have a 3D game or laserdisc to try it with.

The last SMS I had I did have the glasses and could use them on that sharp NES tv and I was surprised, felt like a somewhat (on the nose) uncomfortable in your eyes 80s version of the 3D the 3DS does. The clarity surprised me given the age and the visuals were quite good and the depth could be felt with it to a fair degree. I had Zaxxon, Maze Hunter, Missile Defense and Blade Eagle. I can't think of anyhting bad to say about them, they all utilized it a bit differently. Zaxoon though with those solid 3D looking walls for the stage you went down really popped out the most more than the higher detailed sprite stuff. Blade Eagle felt almost like a colorized Vertical Force(Virtual Boy) as it still was flat but had that sense of depth.
