Bethesda games always have a big beautiful open world, but the games just aren't very good. I mean the progression is horrible, about every 27 and a half hours you might come across a new weapon or armor of a different material or tier. I know you can upgrade weapons and armor in Skyrim, but I'm talking about base equipment. When different species are involved, the balance is always horrible. Hard mode is fine against humans, wolves, dragons, etc, in Skyrim when early game, but you run across a giant spider or a sabertooth you'll be dead in a second, or a troll have even less of a chance. The problem is is that you're bound to run into some of these enemies while exploring the world in close proximity where you even start out because it's like the entire game world outside of specific areas was just randomly generated, and then they just made some adjustments to the design.

People defend how large the games are for their bugs, glitches, and framerate issues. People never point out all the other issues the games have. Balance issues, lack of different tiered upgrades, etc, the same exact game since Morrowind. Bethesda's version of Fallout is just Elder Scrolls with guns and it has the same issues.

I've been playing since yesterday and have logged about 15 hours in already. Its freaking solid. Lots of gun options, and the gun play feels a lot better then previous entries. The world is gigantic with lots to do, and its not repetitive stuff like you find in a lot of open world games.

The Settlement building system is a bit janky at first, but I found myself going a bit nuts for a few hours trying to build myself a swanky base. Its like if Minecraft and Gary's Mod had a slightly less intuitive baby.
