I need help with removing this rwsidue from the SP screen.
Any tips?

That screen looks to be done as one of the leads it off along with the more obvious. Is the shell broken too? Probably cheaper to replace over repair.

For removing residue, I would use Goo Gone. Then clean that up with Windex or Isopropyl Alcohol afterwards.

This was underneath that dark layer of plastic. That plastic, which I'd reckon is the polarizing film is done for. I got to find a replacement film.

Yeah that is the polarizer, and I'm also under this name more or less on reddit where you cross posted this in the gameboy area. That guy is right, you more or less killed it unless you can get another polarizer and clean up the mess too.
