Super Mario Brothers Deluxe; Classic 1985 game

I have one simple question that I just can't find an answer to, so I was wondering if I could get some help here. I have been playing Super Mario Brothers Deluxe. I just finished the 1985 classic. Is it possible to replay levels in the game? I've tried to go back & can't. What if you want to redo levels where you went in a pipe & you want to play it again to see what it's like without going in the pipe.

I have another question. What if I go into a warp zone & come out several levels down the road. Can I go back & finish the ones I skipped? I have a Game Boy Advance SP & the game is Game Boy Color. Thanks to anybody who helps.

You don't get level select till after you beat the game.

From what I remember you get level select after you beat the 1985 classic mode for the first time. It's strange that you don't have it. If you press A at the file select screen Mario jumps. From there you can press left and right/up and down to choose a world/stage. Maybe you need to beat hard mode (the starred levels)?

I'm not sure if you can select levels you warped past without beating them first. If not, all you have to do is start from the nearest previous level, beat the levels you want and save the game. You don't have to play through the entire game again.
