Now let's say besides Nintendo, other game manufacturers decided to follow suit with their own seal of apprvals for their systems. How do yout hink the market would be different from what it is now in terms of gaming and the big 3 systems out there now?

In a sense, all companies have a 'seal of approval'. Game systems have a lockout chip that prevents non-'approved' games from being played (as well as pirate copies). Nintendo was the first to introduce this technique, and the only one who leveraged it for marketing purposes. You'll notice the Genny games have a 'sega approval seal' on them as well. In fact, it's the crux of the current 1st Party - 3rd Party relationship that developers have with console manufacturers. Only recently with the introduction of things like the Phantom and other stillborn PC-console hybrids has this licensing structure been challenged.

As Fluke mentioned, Sega had one they printed on their Genny games.

I don't think they change anything because I don't think they mean anything in the first place. All they mean is a company paid a licensing fee to the console maker. Big whoop.
