Complete Master System with 20 complete games, 3D glasses and light gun. Includes a complete Alf!
$92 with shipping
Sounds like alot, but I can get $30 for the glasses, $15 or more for the system, Alf's worth AT LEAST $15, and $2(or more) for each of the games..so that makes the lot worth at least $100 or more....Plus I REALLY wanted a complete ALF, having had only the cart+box for the last 8+ years, I felt it was necessary to have a complete copy of this little POS game.

May not be a big deal to anyone else, but:
A local Gamestop employee knows that I collect, and saves ALL manuals and boxes for me. Since she's the manager, no one takes them or throws them away - for fear of the wrath!!
Anyway, she handed me a small collection of NES manuals, and here's what was included:
Dragon Warrior II mail-away Labyrinth map (MINT) with original envelope and letter from Enix. VERY COOL!!
Dragon Warrior manual, handbook, spell chart card, map, and poster/map (basically ALL the inserts!
Other than that, my "this week" finds include:
NES Donkey Kong 3
NES Blades of Steel - Red (Konomi) re-release
NES Adventure Island
All MINT, all $5 each
Finally, while not finds in the wild, I got my:
NEW Neo-Geo MVS Super Dodge Ball kit
NEW Neo-Geo MVS Stakes Winner 2 kit
Capcom CPS 2 X-Men vs. Street Fighter w/marquee
Capcom CPS 2 AD&D Tower of Doom
A fun week!!
Peace -

Well, it's a funny coincidence, but I also got a boxed, complete Lethal Enforcers for the Genesis (no player 2 gun for me though). Of course, when I returned here yesterday afternoon to post the brag and see if I could get a fix on it's value, I found the site was /.'ed! Sheesh, my one timekilling site took out my other timekilling site!
Oh well. I didn't get the Player 2 gun. 8-(
BUT, Mine, boxed, with poster, instruction manual, plastic insert, etc... was... ya ready? .....
$2 8-)

This weekend's yard sale finds:
FREE At the first yard sale - Unauthorized guide to Goldeneye007, Official guide to Donkey Kong 64, Guide to Fighting games (circa 1995), Complete TG16 Cybercore.
The guy running the sale was too busy negotiating with someone else and his wife had no idea what the stuff was so told me to just take it. The coolest part was that when I got home and opened the Cybercore, under the HU card was a copy of Parasol Stars. MUCH better game than Cybercore!
Only other game related yard sale find this weekend: PSX Resident Evil Director's Cut Greatest Hits version $5. Turned down a lot of stuff that was more than I wanted to pay.
Also, friday night, at a video store: PSX Elemental Gearbolt, complete and mint, $10.
EDIT: Oh, and this for $12. My son LOVES IT with a passion.

This one doesn't count as a find, per se, but the PS2 I found three weeks ago at Goodwill for $10 and was still under warranty has been returned from Sony today completely repaired and working. Mad props to Sony for honoring the warranty on this thing!
Weekly trade has also netted me a Dreamcast system. All hookups, one game and a couple of "extras" the nice fella on the other end said he was throwing in. Should be here soon...
Meanwhile, back at Goodwill...
Genesis - Road Rash 3, complete - $2. -_-
Maganvox Odyssey2 System - $10 complete in the box O_O with the following loose games:
UFO!
Alien Invaders Plus!
Bowling!/Basketball!
Pachinko!
Showdown In 2100 AD!
Invaders From Hyperspace!
KC Munchkin!
Blackjack!
Sub Chase!/Armored Encounter!
Speedway!/Spin Out!/Crypto-Logic!
Not bad! Good price! Some of these games are dupes but what the hell! Geez, Magnavox sure had a thing for exclamation points! Seems that way to me anyway!
So now I have two extra loose Odyssey2's: one with detachable sticks and one without (I forget which is the rarer of the two). I'll probably try to trade these along with the duplicate titles I got. PM if you're interested or wait the eventual post in the trade thread.
One more for the road !
Atari 2600:
Double Dragon (sealed) (unfortunately I didn't realize until just now that it might be PAL... methinks I got ripped)
Yay! It's NTSC! I only need 6 more to complete my Activision collection:
Checkers
Rampage
Private Eye
Crackpots
Beamrider
River Raid II

ugh. these are the weekends that piss me off.... I went to the beach for vacation, and I was like hey, I should go garage saling, and hit up the thrift store! after 3 garage sales (one was multi family) and the thrift store I forund NOTHING!! not even a combat or a SMB/DH cart. I was heated. on the plus side before I left I got a copy of bubble bobble 2 for NES from FuncoLand for $18. Not too bad.

You're mad at not finding games at only 3 yard sales? I probably find games at about every 3rd or 4th sale myself... that sounds pretty usual to me.
GrandAmChandler
08-27-2003, 02:22 PM
wow. yeah usually the multi-family ones have at least something video game related. I was just dissapointed I guess.. and pissed off cause I got up early on a saturday morning at the beach for nothing... Oh well.

I'm finding that as my collection gets bigger and I acquire all of the basic stuff like the consoles and the usual set of games for each, I pass up more and more stuff. I end up buying less and less each time I go out...

WWE Crush Hour (Gamecube) for 9.90 €uro(about the same in dollar)
I was like http://www.smilies.nl/eek2.gif when I saw it for so low cash
however.....fun game(especially in 2 player mode)-kinda like Twisted Metal for PS2
Btw: Should I get "Eggomania" (gamecube) for 19.90 euro/bucks?
Is it worth it or is it crap?
