Hello there, I am currently new to this site and I came here to see if I could get any help on an issue for a Sega CD Model 2 (Model 1402).
It's a BIOS 2.00 version and the problem is that wen I have it hooked up to a perfectly working Model 1 Genesis the bios freezes and makes no sound. It just shows the background. Now I heard it could be a rand of things but I cannot work on anything without further destroying anything.

Now I di crack it open and found that there was the smell of animal pee and there was rust on the connector port towards the board. So I am wondering, can things be saved or am I going to have to trash this?

Thanks in advance for any advice. I just feel real lost.

Try cleaning the circuit board so it's not soaked in pee anymore. Clean the edge connector with an eraser first, then with isopropyl alcohol. Even if it can't be saved I wouldn't trash it, it could be used for repairing another broken console.
