This year's theme was classic MEGA MAN!

This one was a real surprise because the wife generally sticks to games or characters that she's familiar with. She knows almost nothing about MEGA MAN, but I suppose she did some homework. Actually, I'm sure she did. She even painted the basket blue, and decorated it like an E Tank, which is awesome.

It's chocked filled with lots of nerdy MEGA MAN loot:

A Blue Bomber hoodie (with helmet hood)
A Plush Mega Buster Hand Cannon
A Mega Buster Keychain
A MEGA MAN Powered Up Notebook
A MEGA MAN Coffee Mug
A set of Limited Edition MEGA MAN Headphones
A MEGA MAN amiibo
Lots of candy, including a bunch of weird Japanese Kit-Kits with trippy flavors like Japanese Sake, Hazelnut, Shinshu Apple, bean curd (?) Green Tea, etc.

Best of all, there's a Classic MEGA MAN First 4 Figures Polystone statue. I love these things. This is my forth one.

These are some of the Easter Baskets I've received from previous years:

Yeah, she's awesome about gifting. I'm really cheap and would never buy most of the swag I have, but she keeps me in goodies, especially around the holidays. Easter is our biggest holiday. We love Christmas, but with Easter we sort of compete a little, always trying to outdo each other's basket.

Since she's been on a dress kick for a while (and since she got me a sewing machine for Christmas) I made her a vintage style dress basket with a purse, wallet, and gift card from one of her favorite clothing stores.

That's awesome. We didn't do much this year, especially after the miscarriage that just happened, so we mainly just doted on our son, and I got my wife a ton of Peeps, since she loves them. This was the first year in awhile that I didn't hide her a bunch of eggs to find... I gotta do better next year.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. We've had a few loses in our family the last couple of years. Really rough stuff.

On a lighter note, I can't stand Peeps. Even before I was a vegetarian I couldn't stand those nasty things, or anything else with marshmallow. Well, besides Lucky Charms; but the marshmallows in Lucky Charms aren't fluffy or gummy at all.

I'm with you. Peeps suck. My wife loves the things, though. I did get her a quart of Peeps branded chocolate marshmallow milk that I've been daring her to try. I mean, it's probably horrific, but I love trying to prod her into it. :)
