View Full Version : Games Where It Was "All a Dream" (Spoilers)
I guess to open this thread up a little more, we can list games where everything that happened wasn't real. Let's get started.
American McGee's Alice
Legend of Zelda, The: Link's Awakening
Legend of Zelda, The: Link's Awakening DX (Or perhaps we shouldn't count re-releases?)
Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA)

Bart's Nightmare (Genesis/SNES)
I guess we could count every Kirby and Klonoa game ever, right?

It might be the best ending ever if they showed that Kirby woke up and was actuallt a hungry fat kid dreaming about eating everything, gets up, and eats a bag of cookies while trying to describe it to his workout enthusiast sister, Dee Dee. Then, he vomits in a puddle shaped like a star, and they both laugh.

Chrono Cross did something like this but I can't tell because that game makes no sense most of the time.

Some I'm aware of;
Silent Hill: Homecoming
The Evil Within
The Whispered World
Final Fantasy X (I think?)
With all the time traveling paradoxes, things getting undone or redone by past/future actions, and the other craziness which abounds in it, does Sonic (2006) count?

I think Tidus was created out of the dreams of the people of the world, since Zanarkand was destroyed a lifetime ago. It's been a while, so that might not be correct either :P

That sounds about right, and the place he's from is all a dream too. I've just been watching a playthrough of the game online lately, I wouldn't bother with the game otherwise. I'm not sure if he ends up fighting in the dream world too or just the real world, but he is a dream himself as you've said.
It's kind of iffy on the requirements for this thread, if the whole game has to be a dream or just have some dream sections in it.
