I see you have IAP on this to sell resources.

Does this game strongly encourage or eventually as you level up more or less make you buy into the credit to play model or is it completely optional for the lazy and impatient types? I've played a lot of games in this general model that handle well for a good hour or quite a few hours, then you hit a pay wall and it's infuriating wasting time on that.

At time of writing, everything in the game is possible for free. So it's up to you if you want to wait. IAPs allow you to fast-track.
