Rockman 3 Endless is an excellent rom hack of Rockman 3. In this hack, you are given one life and you begin the game with all weapons. The goal is to see how many screens you can clear before your head explodes; and your life does NOT get replenished at the end of each segment. All of the level segments have been reworked, and the order in which they are presented to you is at random. The game keeps track of how many screens you have cleared so you can challenge your high score over & over again.

This is a really fun rom hack for two reasons. First, the level segments were well redesigned. The selections themselves are not all that hard, but being forced to play through all the selections without health refills with only one life is a challenge. There are of course the regular health power-ups that the enemies drop. In order to do well, you really need to utilize your weapon array effectively.

Second; this game has alot of replay value. Its just really fun. When I first discovered this I played it alot. Rockman 3 endless is a game that plays perfectly on a flash cart. It is one of the better rom hacks I have stumbled upon, and is definitly worth checking out. So if you have a flash cart or emulator, and you like mega man games (who doesnt, right?), then really check this out if you havent already. Its a really cool twist on one of the best NES games.

If I only had a flash cart.....

It occurs to me that this could also be a fun competition with friends, a la the Nintendo World Championships Mario 50 coins challenge, if there's a way to reset high scores.

I would assume that it would work fine on an emulator.

I tried playing this and a sort Mario world room scrambler hack and for what ever reason every emulator i tried has major input lag.

What happened?
I remember zsnes being pretty lag free but that was the dos version after all
