According to Wikipedia, the first game developed by Treasure for SEGA, McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure, actually was first released in the USA July 15, 1993 and in Japan on September 23, 1993. Gunstar Heroes was released in Japan on September 10, 1993, nearly two weeks to the day before the McD's game showed up on store shelves in that country, while stateside GH showed up the day before its Japanese release, on September 9, 1993.

Who is really right, if Wikipedia is not 100 percent correct about this?

Without a source, don't trust dates.

The internal ROM header for McDonalds Treasure Land Adventure (US) says September 1993, and I could probably check the ROM stamp if I had my cart handy but I don't.
