Game Gear Surf Ninja's European version discovered after almost 24 years,

This week I received a complete copy of Surf Ninja's for the Game Gear in European box with 8 language manual.

As the game came from Hong Kong and no other complete copies ever showed up, I wouldn't be surprised if the game was never shipped to Europe. The only info I can find on the web is that anagrama mentioned a copy for sale in Taiwan nine years ago.

Some Game Gear collector's say they see it as prototype. Personally I don't think it is, and I think there are more copies around in Hong Kong, Taiwan and maybe other Asian countries, but they never show up because the language barrier.

I dont think I ever came across a bootleg Game Gear game, would there be any differences?

yes, pics of the board are posted on smspower.org forum. Looks real same roms as the us version, but different production date.

There are bootleg, but most are clear to recognise. This seems the real deal and it was cheap (normal rrp), als for Euro versions manuals are in 8 languages, so for 1 bootleg that would be a hell of a job.
