I have a few questions about the Super Famicom, please help

I do not own a SF yet, and I really want to pick one up to own some of the awsome games it supplies, but I have never bought a japanese console before, and I have just a few questions:

I have been reading that the fully boxed version does not come with all the hook-ups needed to play? if so what hook ups are needed, and how hard are they to get?

If I were to get a famicom, and I had all hook ups, could I just plug it into my tv and play? or do I need a converter to play a japanese console?

The hook ups/cables that I need for it, what exacly are they? are they the standard white/red/yellow plugs like the snes, or different?

What is a good price for a fully boxed version of a SF? A fully boxed famicom with all hook-ups needed to play?

Do you want a Famicom (Japanese NES) or a Super Famicom (Japanese SNES)?

You don't need to buy a Super Famicom, because an USA SNES NTSC can play japanese games without a problem. You must only break these 2 pins inside the slot. Then the japanese games fits and are full playable on the SNES. :-D

The Japanese SFC is much better looking than the our version though, which is why I bought one.

You will be able to use an AV new style Famicom in the US. You will NOT be able to use an older style one, because it has no AV plugs and the RF signal output will not display right on a US NTSC television set, period.

The Super Famicom needs the same AV plugs as the SNES (and N64 and Gamecube) so your existing ones will work fine. The AC adapter may not be included in the box, so make sure of it first. Technically, the US SF AC adapter will probably work with the Japanese system but I don't know whether or not they're fully 100% compatible.

Oddly enough, my Famicom - an older style one - is viewable on channel 96 through the RF switch. It works just fine. A spare Genesis adapter substitutes for an original Fami power supply, and does a good job at that.
