We see a lot of VCS/2600 Flashbacks, but there's more to Atari than that. Would you buy a 5200 or 7800 like the Flashbacks?

I really like the 5200 controllers, even tho many people like to bash them. If I could get a mini 5200 that utilized original controllers (or new 5200 controllers) Id buy one.

I own the 2600, 5200 and 7800; yes a Flashback 5200 or Atari 800 game collection PlugNPlay would be a good move.

Make the 5200 Flashback with an Apple II style potentiometer joystick (Kraft) with decent responsive buttons; add a keypad to it!

Would never sell, bad business decision. 5 years ago, I might have said yes, but not now. My feeling is that obv the 2600 is iconic, we all know that. Same as the NES or SNES or Genesis. Okay. Intellivision/Colecovision? Not iconic, BUT both have had strong retro fandom for 30 years. They represent, quite often, the first gaming console for many of today's collectors. They had, visually, distinctive looks to their games vs. the Atari systems. Both also far outsold the 5200/7800, which were both huge flops.

I'd buy them if they had accurate emulation or hardware and had a cart slot. Since it's 2017, I'd also expect HDMI output.

Supposedly the Retron 77, a new Atari 2600 clone console made by Hyperkin is beta testing Atari 7800 emulation as well. We might get Atari 7800 emulation on a clone system.

Wasn't the original modeled after the 7800 and had some 7800 games on it?

A version with Lynx and Jaguar games might be interesting, though not as marketable as the 2600 and arcade games.
