as the title says, has any one used one of these?

I've got a lead on one for about $35, 10 inputs, 1 output. I am wondering if I should go for it or not.

for any one that's wondering its a multi format A/V switcher, they have much larger versions but I cant imagine having more than 10 systems hooked up to my PVM at one time.
it supports RGBHV, RGsB (sync on green), RGBS, Composite, S-Video (via adapter cable) as well as switching stereo sound on each input

Is it something you need? Why wouldn't you get it?

I have a 12x4 (12 inputs, 4 outputs) one that I got for about $45. It's great if you want everything hooked up all the time.

The Extron switchers don't seem to care what you pipe through their inputs and pass whatever along, I've heard of people using the component matrix switchers for RGB, with sync piped out of a second input/output, as an example. $35 for dedicated RGsB sounds like a real nice deal though, I'd certainly do it. BNC or VGA type connections?

Mine has BNC, not sure if there's other options.

Yea this one has BNC. I wonder if it'll but pass through component. I sounds to me though like there's an amp in it as well. I found a you tube video saying behind the panel on the front there was video adjustment options
