Kinda for Christmas, but I picked up an SNES Classic recently from WalMart, and while there a few 2DS's. The NES Classic, which I never got last year, is from my cousin who got one but never used it.

My kids made several t-shirts for me. This one is from my daughter (7), though she commissioned the artwork from my son (11).

We also got a switch for the family.

I couldn't help but notice your electronic pencil sharpener. Just wondering: how often do you use pencils?

Kids, man, they use them all the time. And then whenever I do actually need one myself, they are all broken or dull. I have terrible luck with the hand sharpeners, though part of that is so many of the pencils kids come home with or get as favors are the cheap kind that break in a hand sharpener. A pencil sharpener was actually on my daughter's xmas list! It was given to the family, though, so she can't just keep it to herself in her room.
On topic: I forgot that I also got the card game "Boss Monster". https://www.amazon.com/Boss-Monster-Dungeon-Building-Card/dp/B00DK3P856
We played once. There are a lot of rules and it is pretty complicated, without adequate description for some possibilities. Fun idea, but maybe not practical to actually play.

Funny, I just got back from buying glasses at Costco. While I was looking at frames I hear an electric pencil sharpener and I'm thinking "Is that an electric pencil sharpener?!"
Sure enough the clerk behind the counter was sharpening multiple pencils. It made my day. (not really but kinda)

Haha, that's funny! Part of why I got it was because it was on sale for $10 at amazon. Rated pretty well, and it has worked really well on a dozen or so pencils so far. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5KBCJR/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Personally I found a Panasonic Pana-Point KP-22A sharpener at a thrift store awhile back and it's the best pencil sharpener I've ever used. Everything is finished nice and smooth, sharpened to a nice angle, and they don't break as easily when pressed on during writing. Very good motor with this 70's era sharpener. I rarely need to sharpen anything though, once I sharpened all my pencils with it everything seems to last for years. I don't use pencils much beyond marking notes and lists occasionally.
This model goes for a good amount on ebay too so I was lucky finding it. I have beige but I think the orange version is pretty cool.

I got lots of gaming swag again this year, a few art/craft gifts, a new phone, and a few other goodies:
2 Funko Pocket POP Figures (both Barb from Stranger Things)
7 Funko POP Figures (Sonic w/Ring, Sonic w/Chaos Gem, Shadow the Hedgehog, Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, Licker, Nemesis)
2 Coffee Mugs ('Never Forget' Barb, and 8-bit X-mas themed Mario)
Fitness Watch
Game Boy LED Wristwatch
Mario Characters T-shirt
2 Nintendo Lamps (A large LED Chain Chump one, and a SMB Item Box one)
Mastering Manga by Mark Crilley Volume 2 and 3
NES GAMEBOY SNES Gift Set (Collectible Coin, NES Cart Coasters, GB Mug, GB Notebook, SNES Backpack)
Perler Bead Set
Retron 5 3-in-1 Adapter
Samsung Galaxy S6 w/Articuna Team Mystic Case
SNES MINI
Super Mario Bros. Calender
Super Mario Bros. NES Cart Wallet
Tamagotchi (cool, mini re-release of the original Japanese Tamagotchi)
The Tamagotchi is really cool, because the wife and I met 20 years ago in a Tamagotchi chat room. It's even got the beady style chain like the original release (they were replaced with a link styled chain early on). I still have about 4 or 5 of my first generation Tamagotchi, still new in the box.
The other half got a couple of purses, 2 POPs (Ryuk from Death Note, and Dwight from The Walking Dead) a Ukulele, a Scent Bird Gift Card, a Pink Fishing Rod (with a light up reel), a Roku, Hot Cocoa and Chocolate Cherries, and lot of makeup and other random goodies, all wrapped up in a giraffe motif (she loves giraffes). Her favorite gift this year though? A goofy little $2 silver teaspoon shaped like a cat that rests on the side of your tea cup. Her favorite things are always the least expensive.

The only thing gaming related that I got was a Steelseries Stratus XL controller. I was probably going to end up buying a cheapy android controller but now I've got a nice one that will also work on a PC.
The next closest thing would be a Rubik's Speedcube. I'm a bit rusty so it's been taking me around 5 minutes to solve, so I wouldn't exactly call it speed cubing yet. But this one is cool in that the sides are all colored plastic. All my old ones kept having the stickers wear off from use. Shouldn't have that problem with this one.

I got more games than I expected this Christmas. Besides the Secret Santa stuff, I got Final Fantasy Legend II and III for Game Boy, Yoshi's Story and a complete copy of Jeopardy for N64, and, as a gag gift, the new Bubsy for PS4, haha, which is the same way I ended up with Bubsy 3D years ago, though that was from someone else. I don't know why all my family and friends love to torment me with Bubsy, haha.
the new Bubsy for PS4
Actually, this new game isn't bad. I've heard it's only unremarkable. You can actually complete it in about two hours, so you might want to actually play it. Just a little suggestion.

I'll give it a shot eventually. I do like Black Forest Games. The friend who gave it to me actually gave my spouse a copy too, haha, so we have two copies in the house, and the two of them played through the whole game that day. It seems like a pretty phoned in game for BFG. Very bland and repetitive, even setting aside how annoying Bubsy is as a character. The level design doesn't look like it has anything on Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams.
