View Full Version : New Official Nintendo Power... Podcast?!
Yeah, Nintendo Power is officially back, but as a podcast for some reason. It stars a former editor-in-chief of the magazine and features Nintendo of America's staff.

Chris Slate has been in the game magazine business for 25+ years. He was a part of Game Players Magazine and then later, PSM, and eventually Nintendo Power Magazine. Seems like a great guy. ran a good crew back in the day with Phil, Randy, and the other guys.
Podcasts are great and I applaud them but it can't hold a candle to a magazine you can hold with your hands while you're on the toilet or sitting on an airplane (or during a power outage.)

Great Simpsons reference. I can't remember what episode that was, earlier season I know. Bart Sells His Soul, I believe?

Both Nintendo Power and Alf were at their peak demand at the same time, just to give you a reference to how long ago that really was.

Well you have to hold a candle to a magazine if you wanna read it during a power outage (I just had to.....the door was open).
It's been years since I really listened to a podcast. I used to listen to Retrogaming Radio and Retronauts quite a bit a decade ago when I did a lot of data entry. Now I really don't have the time to listen to one as I'm not in one spot that much. Only time I could would be at night but I typically zonk out right away or I have my son sleeping next to me. He tends to wake up when he discovers the ears he wished to play with in his slumber turned into big plastic cans.
