Hey guys,
Somebody told me that Chrono Cross on PS1 included Chrono Trigger. Can anybody confirm or refute?
I'd love to add an authentic Chrono Trigger cart to my collection, but at this time, can't spare the cash. But I'd love to play through a legit copy. (I've played with emulation a good portion of the game.) Was thinking about the DS version. But if I could get it with Chrono Cross that would be cool.

nope. Chrono Cross does NOT include Trigger. Would be cool if it did, but it don't.
If you want Trigger on the PS1, look for a set called Final Fantasy Chronicles. It includes Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger. Although honestly the DS port might be better--Chrono Trigger on PS1 was known for having lots of loading (even getting into battle required a bit of loading).

The load times and pauses on the PS1 for Chrono Trigger are terrible, I sold off my PS1 copies of the game. It's really that bad.

Yeah, I don't know what happened to the PS1 ports of Chrono Trigger (in FF Chronicles) and FF6 (in FF Anthology); the load times on menus and battles make them almost unplayable. Those sets are still worthwhile for the versions of FF4 and FF5, which play perfectly fine (the Chronicles FF4 version is my version of choice of that game, as it includes the Japanese-version features cut from the US SNES release).
I'd definitely recommend the DS version of Chrono Trigger and the GBA version of 6, if the SNES carts aren't options or just want them portable. They both have a few bonus features over the SNES originals, and the GBA FF6 has a somewhat cleaned-up translation (the jury's out on whether that's a good thing or not) and a couple of bug fixes.
