Some observations as I sort through my retro gaming collections.

As I continue to go through my collection I find so many items I did not even realize I had or I overlooked because of lack of interest, a side effect of buying large lots and packages over the years for specific items you tend to end up with many things you would have never purposely acquired. THIS is a good example, I have very few original Snes games since I have an Everdrive Cart but I definitely had no idea I had this one, I don't even recall seeing it originally in whatever package it came with LOL

MAN I loved using my NES Advantage joystick to play Zelda and Metroid back in the day. I found THIS Camerica "TurboTronic" Joystick I acquired somewhere but have never used before, will be interesting to see how it compares, or doesn't as the case may be. Anyone use one before? 8-)

Controllers is definitely where I lose track. I don't keep a list of them, I rarely use anything but the standard controllers for each system, and they tend to get spread around. I couldn't even come up with a number for how many NES, SNES, Genesis, etc. controllers I have, and sometimes when I'm digging through stuff, I come across joysticks I forgot I had.

I have an NES Advantage, but unfortunately it doesn't work like it used to... characters jiggle around the screen and I can't make them respond. I tried to open this up and clean it but I couldn't figure out how to disconnect one part without breaking the whole thing.

It's all right tho, pretty much for anything that isn't a fighting game or an arcade-perfect port I don't need sticks, and the NES Advantage didn't feel like a real arcade stick.

EDIT: I had a case once, I forget which game its in reference to, where I really wanted to play a game and was worried about how I was gonna afford an ebay copy and balancing my budget and stuff... then I opened my game drawers and saw the game in question and was like "Wait, I own this already? OKAY!"

ASCii designed and manufactured the NES Advantage. It was originally the ASCii Stick for Family Computer, then the ASCii Stick II Turbo.
They also produced versions for the Master System/SG-1000, a version for MSX, and version for PC-Engine.
The likely sold the design to Camerica as well.

Not hard to loose track i have a ton of controllers as well.All those wires,beside it being a hassle when i need the right one for said console.While i don't have a nes advantage i do have a xe-1 pro fc for the famicom.I also have a similar model for the pc-engine as well.Pic of famicom joystick.

I had an NES advantage at one point but never used it. How do you use it? Set it in your lap? On the floor? A table top? Just always seemed strange

Back in those days My entire setup was in my bedroom (like many) so I lay on my bed often flat on my stomach facing the TV screen, the controller lay on the bed just in front of me, IF I was siting up yes pretty much the controller was on my lap.
