I just registered. Is anyone else going? Ive never been to this before. I might look into seeing if theres a way for me to set up a table and hawk my duplicate magazines. Doubt anyone would even want them.

Andrew Reiner of Game Informer fame is supposed to be there. Free play arcade is always good

Hope to see some fellow Midwesterners there

I just got back from it. There were a handful of arcade machines and pinball I liked that barely made the admission price worth it to me. I discovered Lunar Lander today. What an awesome game. Definitely a classic up there with Pong and Pac-Man. I was disappointed to see that the 1up re-release doesnt have the thrust lever, which basically is what made the game so much fun. It took me a while to figure out what I was doing, but once I learned it, it was fun.

A lot of the games had the sound turned off for some reason which made me not want to play the games very long.

There wasnt much for vendors. There was only 1 place selling video games and it was the same place as a brick and mortar store in the next town over. It wasnt like a flea market with a bunch of random tables set up

I didnt bother with any of the panels or tournaments but if youre into that, its there. Mostly just wanted the free play arcade because in 2019, they are few and far between unless you live in a metro area

My birthday was on around my birthday, and I live in MN. If I'd known about this I would have planned a trip. Granted, it doesn't seem like I missed out on much.

Your birthday was on or around your birthday? Mine is usually a few months after my birthday

No you didnt miss out on much. Granted its probably the biggest gaming con in the state though.

I was spoiled by MAG fest and everything else seems like crap now

Ha! That's a pretty weird auto fill typo. My phone is crazy.

Anyway, I'm glad I didn't miss out on much.
