This update does the following: Adds full version of Roniu’s Tale for Mega Cat Studios Collection 2 cartridge, improves evercade patch system, fixes issue where SRAM saves would wipe upon using in-game menu Reset function, and Evercade VS FW Update detection is now improved.

Bacon Ice Cream Production channel's Evercast had one of the employees on. C64 cartridges are confirmed for Evercade. Blaze has not announced the games on the 2 C64 game cartridges yet.

What happened there is a person on that evercast received their evercade magazine. People from that magazine got C64 cartridges from Blaze according to an article. The employee on that podcast confirmed the C64 as a result. He said that there is going to be multiple announcements next week.

Blaze announced Alwa's Awkening & Cathedral for Evercade. They are coming in October of 2022 according to Blaze. People are able to start pre-ordering this cartridge on July 29th.

I love the hell out of mine (standard and VS) for the most part, I'm a compilation collector and this has been a godsend for me. It's also introduced me to a bunch of games I'd never heard of (like ANYTHING from Galeco!)

I am mentioning that because back in July, Blaze announced they are in partnership with Retro Games LTD.

Also Blaze already has an existing relationship with some companies that did Amiga games such as the Bitmap Brothers.

Blaze announced C64 collection 2 and Toaplan Arcade 2.

C64 Collection 2 has World Games, California games, Impossible Mission II, Pitstop II, Sword of Fargoal, Street Sports Basketball, Uridium, Cybernoid, Nebulus, Firelord, Slayer, Zamzara, Insects in Space, and Mission Impossibubble.

Toaplan Arcade 2 has Fireshark, Twin Cobra, Twin Hawk, Hellfire, Rally Bike, Wardner, and Demon's World.

Blaze announced Piko Interactive Collection 1 has been discontinued.

Some of the games for Indie Heroes Collection 3 will be Game of the Month starting in April of this year.

They mentioned for 2023, there will be at least 2 arcade cartridges, 2 home computer cartridges, and 2 Indie focused Collections not named Indie Heroes Collection 3. Blaze Mentioned there will be 14 game cartridges from April of 2023 to February of 2024.

Blaze mentioned there will be an Amiga Collection coming out this year by a yet to be announced publisher. They also mentioned one of the cartridges will have a Collection 3 coming out this year.

Blaze announced Team 17 Collection 1 for all Evercade devices. Team 17 Collection 1 is a Amiga Collection with 10 games.
The games are Arcade Pool, Alien Breed, Alien Breed 2, Alien Breed: Tower Assault, ATR: All Terrain Racing, Body Blows, Full Contact, Kingpin: Arcade Sports Series Bowling, Project X: Special Edition '93, and Qwak.

Blaze announced Piko Collection 3 today. Piko Collection 3 will be available to be pre-order on March 17th,2023 and be release on May 31st, 2023.

The games in Piko Collection 3 are 40 Winks, Legend of Wukong, Metal Mech: Man & Machine, Motor City Patrol, Punch King, Radikal Bikers(previously unreleased), Stanley: The Search for Dr. Livingston, Sword of Sodan, Super Bubble Pop, and Zero Tolerance.

Evercade started pre-orders for a Limited Edition VS Atomic Edition (2000 made) that includes both Duke Nukem Collections 1 & 2. I've mostly skipped over the special edition Evercades, the Founders Editions, the Purple Edition, ect., but a Duke Nukem Edition I had to have. I have far more interest in Evercade consoles than Evercade handhelds, though I did spring for an all white EXP handheld last time. It's too bad this is only available from the Evercade store in the UK. I thought the white with red trim on the original VS and handheld quite unappealing, so I'm happy to get this new black with yellow trim Atomic Edition. It's also released in November 2023 along with the Duke Nukem Collections. I wonder if the original uncensored voice work will be included on these collection? Duke Nukem's line "I'll tear off your head and shit down your neck!" is a classic in my home.

I know the games are Korean according to Blaze. I've been warned about the reputation of Korean games. Quality should be a concern though since Piko Interactive is known to buy IPS no matter the quality. I know Piko Interactive Collection3 has one of the worst Sega Genesis games of all time in Sword of Sudan.

I don't know. I do know that Blaze mentioned on Wednesday that they will have a Evercade Showcase Vol. 2 in July for rest of the 2023 including 2 Indie titles. What I know is 2 October of 2023 collections were not announced and 2 December of 2023 Collections were not announced either. I'm guessing its too early for Blaze to announce the February 2024 mystery cart that will released with Indie Heroes Collection 2.

Can someone explain the whole AI artwork flap that happened recently? I glanced at the artwork (1 piece?) and didn't think a thing about it either way, it didn't look any better or worse than any other promotional Duke art I've seen over the past 30 years.

Evercade showcase Vol.2 -Indie Special announced collections and games today.

Home Computer Heroes Collection 1 was announced and the MSX announced also was mentioned during this collection announcement. The MSX game from the collection is The Sword of Ianna. Home Computer Heroes Collection 1 has Attack of the PETSCII Robots - Amgia version, Planet X2 C64- version, Farming Simulator: C64 Version, The Sword of Ianna, Citadel Remonstered, Tanks Furry, and Bridge Strike.

Do not try to correct me on the title Citadel Remonstered unless Blaze made a mistake. Remonstered is the actually spelling. Pre-order for Home computer Heroes Collection 1 starts August 1, 2023 and the release happens in October of 2023.

Full Void is the next cartridge and is the only game on it with it being a native game for Evercade. Full Void also comes in a Special Edition besides having a regular edition of the same game on Evercade. Pre-order for Full Void starts August 1, 2023 and the release happens in October of 2023. The pre-order starting date and release dates for the Full Void: Special edition is the same as the regular edition of Full Void.

The next collection is a combo collection called Goodboy Galaxy/Witch n' Wiz. Pre-order for Goodboy Galaxy/Witch n' Wiz starts September 2023 and release happens in December of 2023

I grabbed the Capcom Super Pocket for my oldest son for Christmas this year. I got him the Piko Collection 1, Data East Arcade 1, and Mega Cat Studios Collection 1 carts to go with it. Blaze has introduced Giga Carts for Evercade. Blaze explained a Giga Cart is a new type of cartridge they are making that is designed for larger and more modern retro games, mostly originally released on CD.

They said the new type of cartridge will be identical in size and shape to the current Evercade cartridges. Blaze also announced each Giga Cart will cost £22.49/$24.99/€24.99.

Blaze announced Evercade Vs and Evercade EXP will be discontinued.

Evercade announced Evercade VS R and Evercade EXP R will be the replacements and will be coming out July of this year and pre-orders starts on April 30th. Evercade VS R and Evercade EXP R will come with a giga cart game. Evercade VS R will cost £89.99, $99.99 and €109.99. EVERCADE EXP R will cost £99.99, $99.99 and €119.99.

Blaze didn't announce the name of the giga cart collection today, but will be sometime later this month.

There is really not much of a difference outside of Evercade VS R and the original Evercade vs. Both have the same specs with the only difference being the color of the system and the pack-in game.

There are differences between the Evercade EXP R and the Evercade EXP. While the specs are the same. there are 3 differences with Evercade EXP R having no mini-HDMI, no Capcom games built in the system, and the color of the system.

Blaze also announce a new peripheral for the Evercade EXP and Evercade EXP-R called Tate Grip and will come out in July of 2024 at the price of £17.99, $19.99 and €19.99 . Blaze claims Tate Grip secure Evercade EXP or Evercade EXP-R in a comfortable controller-like cradle, enabling you to play TATE games for longer with more accurate response and user comfort.

Blaze announced Tomb Raider Collection 1. The collection comes with all 3 Tomb Raider games that were on the PlayStation.

It is the first Giga Cart for Evercade and will cost £22.49/$24.99/€24.99.. Pre-orders for Tomb Raider Collection 1 start April 30th and will be released in July.

Blazed announced Thalamus Collection 1 for Evercade. I saw Blaze's youtube video and it is 11 C64 games.

The 11 games are Armalyte: Competition Edition, Creatures, Creatures II : Torture Trouble, Hawkeye, Heatseeker, Hunter's Moon Remastered, Nobby the Aardvark, Retrograde, Snare, Summer Camp, and Winter Camp.

The Pre-order will starting April 30th for Thalamus Collection 1 and will come out in July of this year.

Evercade.....I honestly do not get why?

I will admit I saw that door, and the handheld version, and I asked myself "Why hasn't Nintendo just combine the Wii and Switch into this already.

That being said if this was a "Lenova Legion" ( or GPD ) with a "Compact Flash" slot ( like the Wii ), run "Flash" or even "Director" games out of the box. I would be full sail.

The New versions of Evercade is not out, but you pre-order them. The Evercade VS R, and Evercade EXP R are supposed to released on July 31st.

You shouldn't compare the Evercade to the Amico. Evercade itself has been out since 2020 and Blaze has not been misleading people people. The problem is Blaze to me has been release new Evercade systems ever year. Blaze created the handheld line of Evercade and the console version of Evercade. We are now up to 3 versions of Evercade handheld line without count the Super Pocket.

the first one was released. I do think there is at least a couple years left in the Evercade line.

The Amico on the other is something I rather not mention a lot about considering I am sure the behind the scene stuff is very well known besides Amico as a system is not coming out.

Polymega repotedly exists and can be played though it seemed about as fishy as the Amiico.

Yet at this point it looks like we can say the Polymega is now less fishy, and the Amiico almost certainly won't come out. (I don't think they officially said it but... at this point... and even if it did, I don't think people would want to give Tommy money at this point.)

Blaze announced Toaplan Arcade 3 and Data East Arcade 2 for Evercade. Both cartridges are coming November 28th of this year and the pre-order will be starting on September 26th.

Toaplan Arcade 3 will be having Batsugun, Batsugun Special Version, Out Zone, FixEight, Truxton II, Ghox, and Vimana.

I do not own the Hyper MegaTech Handheld and I can't help you there. I did read about the Duke Nukem Collection cartridges having problems on the EXP in the past.

I know that the Duke Nukem Collection is supposed to work on the HyperMegaTech handhelds, because it shows a little montage of the games available for it which includes the Duke Nukem Collection. I ended up breaking down and buying a new cartridge. Amazingly bad controls, I'm stunned. I haven't tried it on the Evercade VS yet, hopefully that will work better with its different controller.

Blaze announced Bitmap Brothers Collection 2 for Evercade. The games on the cartridge announced are Cadaver, Cadaver: The Payoff, Gods, Magic Pockets, The Chaos Engine 2, and Z.

What I know is Z is port of a Playstation game I never heard of due to only being released in Europe, and the other 5 games are Amiga ports.

Blaze announced Evercade Exp-R and Tate Grip has been delayed till November of this year. What happened was Blazed discovered a faulty component in the Evercade Exp-R. Tate Grip got delayed because it was supposed to be shipped at the same time as Evercade Exp-R according to Blaze.

I saw they announced a Legacy of Kain collection including Blood Omen and Soul Reaver, that's cool, and I've looked into this a couple times but man, I just don't want to buy another console full of nothing but older games. I mean I do like the fact that you can buy and own physical versions of these games, but whether it's the Evercade or just modern developers, how many rereleases are there going to be? It's like video game is dying when it comes to actual new content. Debatable but sure, there are good or great new games, but seems like publishers finally got what they wanted and pushed the vast majority of modern gamers into the whole "seasonal" trend where they can release an unfinished game and then push weekly content to milk the same fanbase for the same content over and over and over and over. Anyways, tl;dr, gaming is pretty much dead.

Although, I guess on the plus side the prices are cheap and often release in collections of games, it's already semi popular between big name collectors(although if we're really honest, most are just paid shills) so in 20 years it's not like I wouldn't make several times more back if I sold it, provided if the price goes up and when you have a collection of actual licensed games for a new console, I'm pretty certain that'd be the case.

Evercade's first giga cart of the year is Broken Sword Collection.

Broken Sword Collection has Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars, and Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror.

To my understand both Broken Sword games are PS1 versions of the games that were released back in the 1990s.

Pre-orders for Broken Sword Collection start on January 30th and the release date will be February of 2025.

The games in Indie Heroes Collection 4 are The Curse of Illmoore Bay, Block’Em Sock’Em, Nyghtmare: The Ninth King, Jane Austen’s 8-bit Adventure, Collie Defense, Flea!2, Batty Zabella, Murtop, Soko Banana, Starseed, and Block Droppin’.

Blaze announced Atari Arcade 2.

Atari Arcade Collection 2 will have Berzerk, Frenzy, Tazz-Mania, Lost Tomb, Moon War, Dark Planet, Rescue, Mine Field, Fire Truck, and Maze Invaders.

Atari Arcade 2 pre-orders start February 25th, 2025. Atari Arcade 2 will be released in April of 2025.

Tom Raider Collection has Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and Tomb Raider: Chronicles.

Blaze had their Everade Showcase today.

The first Cart they announced Windjammers, Karnov & Friends. That cart has the arcade versions Windjammers, Karnov, Vaport Trail: Offence Formation, Roghana Armor Force, Atomic Runner Chelnov. Pre-orders start April 1st and gets released in June with it costing $24.99.

The 2nd cart they announced was Gremlin Collection 2. The games on it are Loaded, Buggy, Hogs of War, and Re-Loaded. Pre-orders Start April 1st and gets released in June with it being on a Giga Cart that costs $29.99. The reason for the giga cart is due to having 4 32 bit games on the cart according to Blaze.

They announced Neo Geo Arcade for Evercade in cartridge form. The games are Metal Slug, The King of Fighters 2000, Ironclad, Magician Lord, Sengoku, and Shock Troopers.

Pre-orders start May 1st and release in July of 2025 with cost $24.99.

Evercade Showcase did announce hardware.

They announced Hyper Mega Tech Super Pocket - Neo Geo edition. It comes with 14 Neo games and pre Orders start April 1st and gets released in June of 2025 with the cost being $59.00

Also Hyper Mega Tech Super Pocket - Data East Edition was announced. It comes with 18 Data East Arcade games and pre-orders start April 1st and gets released in June of 2025 with the cost being $59.00.

They announced more Evercade hardware with ii being another version of Evercade VS and Evercade EXP without a Pack in. There is no date yet on either.
