It's some thing dotemu was able to get the license from viacom/nickloden to publish a tmnt game.This game is being made by tribute games with there last game being panzer paladin.

Wow. That looks...awesome. It looks classic - it hearkens back right to the arcade game, it has homages to all of the great scenes from that and the NES games (one of them had a surfboard level - can't remember which). I'd actually want to play this.

And...was April doing karate? She looks smaller than she used to in the old cartoon.

Definitely a homage keeping it a beat'em up from the past for how konami did it.Also to note,tribute games staff were originally involved with scott pilgrim vs the world the game which got a re-release recently,so they get it.Beat'em ups have been on the resurgence from indie developers as of late streets of rage four,fight'n'rage,river city girls and the take over.

Even SOR4 looks better then the recent battletoads and it's art style never bother me and i enjoyed it's game play.Beside i completed SOR4 plenty of times to unlock everything.Regardless i'm looking forward to the new tmnt game since the last one for consoles,by platinum games was a absolute mess.

I wish Streets of Rage would have been pixel art, but I am glad it was well-received as is. I am genuinely excited for the TMNT game, I was absolutely turtle-obsessed as a kid! This was barely a teaser though, I hope there is a large variety of classic enemies, not just a bunch of foot guys.

The problem I had with SoR4 is they made Axel into this overweight guy with a beard. Axel in SoR2 was a clean cut, athletic dude. kinda nitpicky I know but I dont wanna play as the fire breathing guy who can barely get himself up off the ground, I wanna play as the guy beating him up

Story for axel looking that way was "he was training" i know that's not much of excuse but blame the developer for that.I had no problem for how axel played in SOR4 i just wish he had a dash like adam and cherry had.When i unlocked SOR3 axel there were times i used that version more.

biggest problem I have with SoR2 is how slooooow the characters walk. Skate was pretty quick and Blaze wasnt bad but the others move like molasses

This looks like a day one purchase. I enjoyed the heck out of Streets of Rage 4 and this looks even better with the pixel art style.

It looks ok. While I still like the older Turtles games for nostalgia I'm not exactly excited for new ones, the Turtles franchise aged poorly to me so I'm not big on them anymore. I can't watch the cartoon anymore and I watched it all the time as a kid.

Also I've never understood April O'neal being playable. That was the case in the Genesis Tournament Fighters game too although I've heard there she was a stand-in for a cancelled character.

History repeats itself dotemu did the same for streets of rage 4 through lrg and retail.The only reason to buy it at lrg is for the collectors edition which i'm gonna pass on.I'm fine just buying tmnt shredders revenge at retail instead.

Cross play for online i've heard for pc to xbox but i don't know.I just bought the game digitally recently for the PS4 and i'll say tribute games did a wonderful job with this tmnt game.Arcade style beat'em up with each turtle having there own moves etc.Thumbs up !! Note i haven't tried online yet i need to renew my ps plus since it expire recently.

I bought the dlc back in august via the PS4 version of the game but i don't know if i encounter any bugs at all.Beside i manage to max out all the characters to level ten for the survivors mode and the recent added kari and usagi.Still,i'm glad i passed on the original physical release i will probably buy the anniversary edition for the switch this time around.

Honestly when "Scott Pilgroom" was made it was amazing. Because it was an original game.
However these TMNT is not better looking. Yes the sprites have lots of work done to them, but the
game looks like the "Gameboy/SD" ( they are super-deformed ) somehow rather then being realistic,
or matches the look or feel of the earlier games. In fact somebody ( right now over time ) is making
a "Beats of Rage" remake of the original TMNT game and the Sprites are beautiful. April, Turtles,
etc all look like the way they should ( more reasonable ) look.

I just feel while the art is "good", it was not done with the heart in mind towards the original series or respect to the consumer. I feel something is wrong with the art-direction. While April is playable it just feels unatural all together. It is like Chung-Li in the original "Street-fighter ll". Women might be tuff but side by side ( like a PPC v. Intel with same parameters ) no. The original made the statement clear, while this game is more like the Intel with the ability to stay at 10W-15W when not being used, while the
PPC is running at 80-100W even when idling. Again side-by-side the answer is no. April could defend herself to a certrain degree but not going to happen with mutant freaks of nature.

IDK man I think they a did decent job of Axel "progression" for his generation. Look at "MetalJesus" then and now. He gets %9000 respect for him with the make-up on and instruments when he was a broke-working-stiff, straight out of a rockstar working the mail-room. Other-day I saw a guy who literally looked like Axel ( like ten years ago ). Guy was up there in his age but man he was angry looking, could not stand anybody looking at him, called people "gay", and a stereotypical dressed Jewish fellow "vampire". Had the jeans-jacket, beard, and smell bad like he did not bath. That being said the "Jeans-jacket" for some reason get people off in my area. A local street-gang member was like "your going to beat me up". For years in media they market that same jacket in prison systems. but in places like Eastern-Europe it seems to be a normal trend for men ( EE girls looking at me a lot just for dressing up like that ). It is mostly the "older" people getting the negative reaction from the Jeans-Jacket. Beyond that Axel looks okay. I mean great they decided to age-him and give him a beard.
