Ohhh, I gotta get one of these! I'm still hoping for a Analgue N64 encased in a solid block of pure titanium, but a FPGA Gameboy encased in magnesium is pretty impressive too. I think that stuff is used in fireworks and flares.

Modretro has them in multiple colors here... https://modretro.com/
And Gamestop has an exclusive gray version up for preorder also. I kinda prefer the classic look of gray myself.

Forget the Gameboy. The website and games was worth the click. To think they made those games
using GB studio I am in shock and auwh right now. I must be procrastinating my life away, when I see somebody using skills I should be honin right now. It is like that/those time(s) when somebody show a picture of there wife/girlfriend in an aprriopriot position and I said "could I see that one more time" and they were like "nope". The ______ is in your mind.

When you said magnesium gameboy I believed you was literally talking about a casing simular to the A7R2 SONY camera ( which is the last to support Android 2 programming ). The idea of a magniesium case is for the device ( in this case a gameboy ) not to crack so easily and or the insides to be protected, while maintaining coolness in the hot sun. One of the reasons why it cost more then the others.

IDK if that the same case with this Gameboy. They are abusing the word "retro" with this marketing.
I would just have clean colors and less independent designs. Or even sell the actual gameboy casing,
and or mod services. I am sure somebody would pay for a super-cooling cast copper gameboy. That
would be doable. Even one with it's original coloring, or even better Chrome.

Again those games are made in GB studio .... amazing!!! I love the artwork. I disagree with some art directions, and I am jealous of the naming of at least one of those games. I would to pick the brains of these people. quite nicely done I do say.

If these all could somehow take Gameboy and Compact Flash cards, and play Flash games, it would actually be worth the pricing.

I was dreaming about taking the guts of one of those mini-computers ( computers that are small as folded razor phone with some touch screen functions but can run Windows 10 ), and chucking it into a Gameboy case.

Worth the view

Nintendium is the most robust gaming substance known to man.

The screen is the best part of that new system, I'm just not sure if the pricing is justified as it's pretty expensive. Though the cost of used Gameboy Color systems has become pretty expensive too lately, at least when complete in box. It might be a comparable purchase, and the screen improvement would be substantial. I remember the original Gameboy Color systems needing lighting accessories to basically be usable.

You can mod a GBC with a light mod, I am not sure if it is labtop quality lighting but the modification is out there and is cheap in parts ( over priced in regular buy locations ). I want to do that forever.

What is stupid is that I have an "Extra Bright" GBA that was modded with "Extra-Extra-Bright" lighting. Somebody took a beat-up garbage GBA and gave it a new case, etc and modded it.

....

I have a GBC nearby ( among Black-Gameboy and two broken Regular-Gameboys that needs love etc ) and the deal was ( when it was popular ) we would just turn on the light ( burn the electrical bill ) but nowadays I have a desk-lamp with a shade or even use the sun light if I can.

I remember those dark days when GB-light ( an import model ) was a big deal, or even GB ice that used LCD, which was black-n-white instead of green, and produced red-colors on some sprites. Again usually we had the sunlight and was outside or whichever light source.

I never saw a need for any lighting add-ons. If you did, the add-on might just take the juice of your gamebody

.........

Seriously future world, we have computers ( fully loaded boxes that runs Windows 10 ) that could fit into a body of a Gameboy, Just disassemble to make it fit, add a controller, a USB output for devices, and a slot for a Compact Flash and or SSD.

The creme-doller-creme would be an actual Gb <-> Gb connector input that would work with an emulator like a later No$GB can actually connect to a physical gameboy and play online.
