Regardless of what upgrade you're on. (I don't know how expensive upgrades get, but I stopped at 500K :)

I owe 100,000 exactly which I hope to pay off tonight before Nook's closes. Then I'll have another floor and 700,00+ to pay off.
I've heard when you're really debt free and/or have a certain amount "in the bank" (you can save after paying off your loan) there are special items to be had :)
