I think I got burned!!!

I had a trade with Junglehunter and I sent him my end of the bargain. It has been a couple weeks since I last heard from him. Does anyone have any ideas of what I should do? I know he recieved what I sent because I watched the tracking number on it.

I am also in the middle of a trade with junglehunter. It has been quite a while since I shipped. I did hear from him the other day saying that he has been busy with back to school and has not shipped yet. I have confirmation both via UPS and via junglehunter himself that he did in fact receive my package, so let's just hope he's going to come through.

I did a trade with him a few months ago. It took forever, but he finally came through and everything was fine. My recommendation is to keep sending him emails/PMs every so often to remind him.

I've traded with Junglehunter before too, I believe it's just a matter of waiting it out and reminding him like Keir says. He's a good guy.

I sent him over$140.U.S. in paypal funds, for 3 rare games, and its been 2 weeks and no reply to e-mails nothing. Must be the season for it but a relative said don't give up it might arrive. But I doubt it!

However since it is through paypal you are entitled to a refund if no item shows up within the 30 day window from when you paid (just file for a refund)

However, chances are if you are going through another videogame message board, someone else is here too. If it ends up you unfortuneately get screwed, some word should be dropped here incase they either bring the scam to these parts or someone who visits here and there potentially gets in the same mess.

If anyone understands that, I'm proud....I'm also tired so I might be a tad in-compre-hensible.

Just FYI, if you sent money through Paypal, and you're trying to get it refunded for whatever reason, you need to do it within 30 days of when you sent your money.

if you start the process of the paypal refund then he will have a few days to comply with completing the delivery confirmation on your package. So if he has no proof of sending it or has not sent it, then it may get him off his duff and send the item. In this case paypal will work in your favor.

If your address is unconfirmed in paypal and he accepted your payment , then you will get your money back immediately.

lesson to all you sellers :
Only accept confirmed paypal addresses
Only ship with delivery confirmation
keep your confirmation slips for at least 30 days

Personally this kind of crap really bother me because I sell items and ship immediately. There is no excuse for making a deal , getting the money and waiting weeks for shipping.

I'm a canuck who uses Paypal, and I can't get my address comfirmed. PP makes it very hard for international users. Getting it reversed on junglehunter should be easy though. There are 'no' seller protections for international sellers.

@Vegetunks: It was nice for you to stand up for your friend. Thanks. But he still needs to learn to communicate faster even if there is a problem. It would have been nice to know, even if through a friend, that his computer was down about a month ago, not now after making a stink.

This has been a very interesting thread to follow and I will be tuning in with great interest to see if Chadtower get his games from Junglehunter and I am glad that Moose will get his. I posted here the other day that I may have been burnt but the games have shown up since then. There oughta be a law against people, especially in video games circles, trying to put things over their fellow enthusiasts. (i.e. ripping people off) It's not in the spirit of things and it's just plain wrong.

I used to a lot of "video bootleg" trades through the mail. At least once a month it seems, someone would not mail their tape to me.

A few times I mailed people and told them that they were committing mail fraud and legal action would be taken. Boy you would be amazed at how fast those tapes showed up then. I don't know if it's illegal or had anything to do with mail fraud but that line always worked for me.

Actually, he eventually did mail his stuff to me, as indicated above. He did not rip me off. He was slow. There is a difference.
