Quick PSX Sports game / EA question(s)

I need to know this. Production for the PSX is supposed to end soon, correct?

If so, anyone know of the plans for the EA line of sports games? I'd like to pick up the LAST year they are made for the console (to get the most up to date version, technology and feature wise). Is the 2004 line supposed to be the last? MADDEN 2004 just came out. Are NHL 2004 and NBA LIVE 2004 supposed to be due out for release soon also? Same for the NASCAR game and TRIPLE PLAY game, but I question these two myself, as they aren't fall released games normally. Either way, last year titles probably won't be on shelves long, so I want to pick them up.


Other question, the 989 Sports games are the Sony-made games, correct? If so, what's the final release years for these? 2004, 2003? I've never played a NHL Faceoff or anything like that before :embarrassed:

Live is scheduled to be released along with the bigger consoles, but that's all I know. Triple Play is no longer and I don't think we'll see MVP anytime soon on the PS One since they used an entirely new engine and they can't use last years. I wouldn't be surprised if NHL made an appearance though along with Nacar, but I have no info.

Either way, I will be mad if there are 2005's....if I go ahead and buy 2004s :)



Much like I bought 1997's for the 16-bit systems. Had to go out and buy the 1998's LOL *thinking I should rid of them, but I paid too much LOL *
