Zero-Wing on genesis

we all remember that corny one liner...but correct me if im wrong...isnt that game called Zero-Wing? And wasnt it was for the Sega Mega Drive.....wazzat?!!! and if i find the mega drive version, can i play it on my genesis system or some other american sega system? sum1 help me cause i wanna add it to my library AND STILL BE ABLE TO PLAY IT!!!!

I think you've got most of the facts straight. It's the European version of the cart you're after. The Mega-Drive was the European (and Japanese) version of the Genesis.

As for playing it, maybe someone else can answer that quesion as I hav no expirence of playing a UK cart on my Genesis.

You need a convertor to do it, and a good one too, or a mod.

I must point out, maxlords, that my PAL Zero Wing Mega Drive cart plays perfectly in my Model 2 Genesis without the use of a converter, and that it contains the full-text introduction in all its translated glory.

One caveat, however--I purchased this Genny 2 used, so unless I open it up I can not state with any certainty that it was not modded by a prior owner.

If it makes any difference to my previous statement, I also have a PAL Herzog Zwei Mega Drive cart that plays in my Genny without a converter.

okay.....i have a genesis 2.....and duz ne1 know of a cheap converter that will play the zero-wing european version with out crackin open the genesis? im paranoid about working on the "internal organs" of things like that.

as far as i know imports can be played on a genny 3 out of the box.

Keith, in my first post, I said that you don't need a converter to play the PAL Zero Wing in a Genny 2. PAL is the same as European.

To add my 2p, Zero Wing will also play fine on a Genesis 1. The majority of pre-1995 PAL games will run with no problems on any Genesis, and plenty of later games also run OK.
