Hi,
I'm making an excel spreadsheet for various systems that I collect for. Ex: Atari 2600, 7800, Colecovision, etc... I don't know VB or macro'ing at all so I thought I might ask here and hopefully someone will be able to help me. Let me explain what I'm trying to do.

Each spreadsheet has 3 pages. USED/NEW/HAVE
The first page lists the game name and other relavent information. Then there are three columns that have a checkbox for each row.

The three columns are called CArt/Box/Manual.

The Second page (NEW) lists all the games titles and has another column with a checkbox. There is only one column for checkboxes because this sheet is to mark sealed/new games, so obviously there is a box and manual. No need to have checkboxes for those two features on this page.

The third page is split into two sections. USED and NEW

What I want is a macro that is run and goes through the first page. Each row that has a check in the checkbox column Cart, I want the macro to take the game title from that row and insert it into page three under the USED section. I'd like the macro to go through the whole list and put all the games that have the CArt column checked and place the game name in the used section on page 3.

After completing page one, I'd then like to have the macro look through page two and take any game that has a check in the checkbox column and place the title of that game on page 3 under the NEW section.

Can anyone here tell me if this is something easy to do? I took BASIC and Pascal as well as some C a long long time ago, but this VB stuff seems to be much different. If this isn;t a hard thing to do and someone might be able to create a macro with the above features, I could send you a copy of one of my spreadsheets so you can see what my setup looks like and where I'd like to have the information copy to in the spreadsheet. If this is a hard project or long one, then forget it, its no biggie. I just thought it would be cool to have as it would help me manage my collections.

Thanks
John

It can certainly be done, and I don't even think it would be that hard, but if I understand you right this is something much easier done in Access. You could have a Table with all the games listed in it then make a Query that only shows the ones you have.
