Stopped in at Goodwill tonight to find a freshly dumped pile of loose NES games, overpriced at $3.99 each...fortunately, one struck me as a pretty good deal at that price:

http://members.aol.com/a54br9/ebay/megacom.jpg

MEGACOM from SUPERVISION has nice label, even if most of the game characters featured look like envelope art from the front section of gaming magazines. "110 IN ONE (INTIL)" is on a separate end label, and the front promises that, "Your family will enjoy playing home video entertainment like never before!"

Had never found a pirate cart in the wild before, and from the descriptions I've seen of others, this seems to be a pretty good one - lots of good NES games, Arkanoid, Pacman, Popeye, NES & Tengen Tetris, and more...plus some arcade games not released on the NES here (Galaxian, Arabian) and a lot of very playable Japanese shooter and puzzle games (my favorite name, "Nuts & Milk"). The only duplicate games were at the end of the menu...about a dozen "Super" versions of games which all seem to have been hacked to help the player...Super Pacman moved at double speed, Super Galaxian had the fire rate of a 50 caliber machine gun, etc.

About 2 dozen NES games at $3.99 each still at the Oklahoma St. Goodwill if you're a local...Contra and Pacman being the best of the rest. Man-oh-man, its been a good couple of weeks!

I've been waiting for this! I just found a trio of games for the Playstation at my local rental store... they were about $3.00 apiece, and included Operation: Horned Owl, Jumping Flash 2, and Rival Schools.
My question is this: has anyone ever played Horned Owl before? Is it any good?

Sweet! Are there any controllers it won't work with? I can't find much info past a few reviews of the controller I'm trying to use. I guess for the price I can just grab one and find out the hard way.

Thanks!

I'd love to find a $3.99 contra. I've never seen it for less than $12 :(

Let's see, this week I managed to buy ANOTHER copy of Astro Warrior/ Pit Pot. (hopefully this one won't be beat to hell like my last 2) $15
A SMS poster lot $10 (a little expensive just for 8 standard poster-catalogues, but it came with a HTF 1987 games catalogue, and a rare Hang-on manual)
and this morning I bought SMS Micro Machines for about $10, (I have conflicting info about this working on a US system, it MIGHT work on a SMS 2, wish me luck!)

Anyone have any information about the Marty? Both EGM and GameFan went nuts for that system, and I'd like to know what all the hubbub is about.
(I don't suppose anyone's working on a Marty emulator right now, are they?)

Put the GMR card to work at EB Games today...

PlayStation (used but complete)
International Track & Field 2000 - $1.34
Wipeout XL - $3.59
Treasures of the Deep - $3.59
Ten Pin Alley - $3.59

Dreamcast (used but complete)
Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers - $5.39

Rampage Puzzle Attack & Boulder Dash EX (GBA) - new - $20 for both

Worst of all, the moron behind the counter was so busy trying to prove that he knew more about the Dreamcast's game library than me, and he forgot to put the Treasures and Ten Pin discs in the bag.

Moron: "Yeah, that Dreamcast Gundam's really hard to get. What's it called, 'Blue Flames' or something? You won't be seeing that anytime soon!"

I got about a mile away before I noticed. His manager said she was going to talk to him...

Actually, there is an FM-Towns emulator, which runs Marty games. It's called Unzu, and is developed by a Japanese guy. I've yet to try it, but his page is entirely in Japanese.

Type in FM Towns Emulator on Google and you shoudl get it.
