i just recently bought this game from a friend. now i know there was quite an assload of hype for the game and a bad review is impossible to find.

i have played about 2 hours of the game, just to see what its like (xenosaga is the current project). my impressions are this:

the battle system sucks.

I was just wondering if it stays this same, non-interactive slug fest (yes i know you can throw grenades, etc) or if it gets better with the addition of force powers. thanks

David

it's an rpg just like almost every other rpg.
turn based.
sure, it's 3d, but it's still a turn-based rpg. once you realize that, it's less frustrating.

unless, of course, you don't like turn-based rpgs.
then you're sol.

You can tailor the battle system to your liking in the options menu... You can turn on turn endings, or let it fly.

The first hour of the game is the worst. It only gets better from there... much better. Enjoy!

Don't feel alone....Your not the only one. I felt so disconnected from the brawls that I couldn't take it. I was stunned to see the glaring reviews praising it. Not something I could get into.
