The Kunio Thread!!!

Ok...everyone's favorite imports! I can't believe they haven't been mentioned yet! As you may know, the only Kunio (Nekketsu) games to make it stateside are:

Super Dodge Ball (NES)
River City Ransom (NES)
Crash N the Boys Street Challenge (NES)
Super Dodge Ball (Neo Geo AES)
River City Ransom (GBA...forthcoming)

But there are TONS of awesome Kunio games in Japan! I've always wanted to try the SFC beat em ups myslef, but I can't afford them! And since Kunio stuff is so popular...what's your favorite Kunio import? And what do you think of the Kunio games?

Personally, since I'm a video game dodgeball whore, my favorite is Kunio Dodgeball aka Super Dodge Ball for NES and PC Engine. I really want to try the Neo Geo one though!

Mine is definitely Downtown Special for the Famicom. Followed by Nekketsu Street Basket (also Famicom) and Kunio no Oden (SFC)

They are great games. I love them too. I am not sure how good the GBA one will be. They're messing with a classic, and I hope it still retains its charm.

Word is they're not changing the GBA one much at all. All it really need is a slight bit more guidance :)

Hmmmmm..fave Kunio game? I'd have to go with River City, closely followed by Super Dodgeball. I used to be a HUGE Renegade mark, but I havent played it in years. I wonder if it still holds up...?

I'm also eager to play the SFC titles. It seems I can never find em, though :/
