While we're on the subject of Genesis protos, does anyone know if there are protos for Star Odyssey (aka Blue Almanac) or Lufia and the Fortress of Doom?

There is no proto for Star Odyssey/Blue Almanac. If there was, I'd pay ANY price for it. It was dropped in mid-translation and never resumed. It's one of the games I always wanted to play for the Genesis too, but it never made it to proto stages from the info I've found.


By the way, are these true protos or review demos? I assume true protos judging from the Sage's Creation Battlewings.

I'm holding out hope that there is a Star Odyssey out there somewhere, since VG&CE reviewed it. They must have played at least the half-translated preview build...

It's tough for me to tell if these were Alpha, Preview, or Review code. Many of them have 'please return to' labels, but not 'for preview' or 'for review' on them.

And where did you find this info on Star Odyssey? I'd be interested in seeing the source.
