OK, these MIGHT be considered spoilers, but I don't see how you would EVER find out some of them if you never heard about them first.

Once a day there is a random rock on the map you can hit with your shovel to turn it red and get money from it.
At 2:50am there is a ghost out and about, catch spirits in your net, and maybe get a prize?
Catch the balloon present with your net, or wait until it hits a tree, shake the tree to knock it down.
Every Saturday at 8:00PM and later, the dog is singing by the train station, he also allows you to request songs.
